Re: The DAMAUKPK Project: Damasteel UK Penknife UKPK

Just checking on on this. When I saw the Urban arrive in this configuration I just felt it was a precursor to the UKPK!

Also hunting for a 4 pin HH to keep me occupied in the mean time 😊

Re: Who of you buys only Spyderco, no other brand knives?

Not for me, I buy the designs I like and that’s it. And even they come and go as I fall in and out of love with them. But that goes for all of the knives I collect, I’m not loyal to any brand really

Re: First Glimpse at my Swayback

Really not a fan of that standard clip on this design, it looks like an afterthought. I like the knife itself though https://nemoknivesreview.files.wordpress.com/2020/08/20200814_102914.jpg?w=1024 https://nemoknivesreview.files.wordpress.com/2020/08/20200814_104545.jpg?w=800 That is better, I think...

Re: Help order from Knifecenter to Europe canceled by Airline

From the USA to the UK I find USPS is the least helpful method, and when it does arrive the customs charges are extortionate.

I always pay for DHL and it’s here within 3 days, fingers crossed I’ve had crossed yet

That looks pretty good. Now I am thinking of Ti scales. I wonder where to find some?
Give him a shout, he posts worldwide according to his info. I’ll definitely be back for more, I think when I get the HH version I’ll send him that for a black with copper scales mod!

Re: Custom UKPK

It is indeed one of the older FRN models. Like I say I went for that as I prefer the blade on it, despite the weak backspring. The knife looked like this a week ago....

Custom UKPK

:) It’s not super lavish, but it’s what I like! If I was designing the UKPK this is how I’d make it....(actually I’m lying I’d have the blade off the Pacific Salt 2 on there in black)....but this is close enough! I wanted the original UKPK as I like the grind on these best, the current blade I find ...

Ha! There’s logic in that I suppose

It’s money I can be spending elsewhere though whilst they have stock!

Any update on a spot opening up in Golden so this can be produced? I've had my order in with Heinnie since March and it has been delayed multiple times because of Covid.
I’m resisting pre paying for one, the waiting irritates the life out of me. I wish you could reserve rather than pay in full

Re: How important is scale color?

Massive deal for me, it’s a deal breaker on most knives when it comes to colour and material. I buy knives for their designs, blade shapes, lines and curves. I’m not creepy - I’m just into form. A classic case is the Pacific Salt 2. I love that blade, I wish I could put it on all of my knives as it’...

Specifically the blade, it’s innards and pivot hole / lock mechanism please. I’ve googled and searched and had no joy.

I think they have the rights to things which are red, like their logo.

I’m totally okay with that though, the only red knife I’d ever buy is a Victorinox.

Re: Exclusives?

I didn’t buy it for basically everything that has been said in this thread. Plus I have to add £50 to any BHQ order to get it shipped to the uk. I sat and watched it, and it didn’t actually sell out as fast as I thought - obviously that’s subjective depending on stock levels. But it did sit there av...
