Re: Cheap and ugly
Still rocking the cheap and ugly hdpe scales on my Magnacut Mule. Still cutting up hdpe food containers, I have made some climbing holds out of hdpe too, and plan to make more. I have cycled through all of my Mules cutting hdpe and this chore has really reinforced the fact that geometry cuts. So far...

Re: Autism awareness knife?
I like the idea, I know a number of people who either have Autism or their kids do. An Autism awareness collaboration would be cool. I like both ideas of puzzle piece scales or just dedicating a model to be the Autism awareness model. I terms of a dedicated model, I think either the Wooden Kit Drago...

Re: Anyone else talk crap about how many Mules they were going to buy? And then life caught up...
I never wanted to buy every single mule. I wanted to test steel and provide my results/findings. Part of me wanted the k294 mule but I have rex76 ones currently out on loan that satisfies that itch. I went from buying mules to buying my wife a wheelchair after her accident. About 13 surgeries later...

Also, I do not really deserve a nice Tenacious as I tend to use mine to cut old caulking out of cracks and shave the rotten wood out.

Re: Tenacious Tee Shirt
Necro Thread Alert!! Took some time for the Tenacious to get the love it deserves. I sure appreciate how Spyderco has focused on this platform and brought the value line forward. I can say I did not have the bank roll for the S35vn upgrade, and most likely will not have it for the Titanium Frame Loc...

Thanks for the reply's team. Up in northern Canada we went from floods in the spring to fires all summer. We evacuated for nearly 6weeks. Nothing quite slams the budget like no income and extra expenses.

Re: Why don't you Baton?
I have not been able to find the Spyderco web image advertising the Aeb-l mule. It definitively showed a picture of a person baton-ing an Aeb-l mule. If any other Mule Teamers are more web savvy than myself, I sure would like that pic to appear here. Anyway, I would like to forward that picture in d...

Anyone else talk crap about how many Mules they were going to buy? And then life caught up...
Ok. Long title. But, I do not wish to feel alone in this. I would like to think there are others out there like me who stumbled upon the Mule Team, caught the fever, bought the Mules and then started talking crap. Well, I said things like I will by them all!!! Nothing will stop me!!! More Mules!!! M...

Re: Experiences with hawkbills?
I own a hawkbill from another company. It is a fixed blade and lives on my whitewater kayaking life jacket. In terms of a rope cutter, the hawkbill blade is the best in my opinion. In terms of a river knife and cutting ones way out of a rope entanglement, I think a fixed blade is the way to go. Is ...

Re: Why don't you Baton?
Living in Western Washington we have periods where we have no fire bans due to the wet weather. Only problem with that is the wood is usually pretty saturated with water by then. I was up near Mowich Lake on Sunday in Mount Rainier National Park. Had a beautiful fire to watch the sunset before head...

Re: Knife trends you just don't understand?
I understand getting out of a knife store with a new knife and immediately wanting to open and cut with it. I kinda understand wanting to post pics of the new knife ASAP. What I do not understand is the knife photo, in the truck, with the knife on one leg and too much extra in the shot. I hope I do ...

Thin for the win. I'm back in.
I've got a date with the one point eight. And, hey I've been way for awhile. Canada had some forest fire evacuations, kids get some flu and what's one to do.... Anyway, the Catcherman has me excited enough to post up again. So, has any forumite asked for thinner blade stock? +.2mm to the next thinne...
