I've been following you for a while on YT. Really excited for this thread.

I've had the exact opposite experience, but I also reprofiled mine out of the box.

I got some pretty severe chipping in my SE bd1n p3lw, but I've used my SE k390 Endura a whole lot harder and haven't seen any chipping at all.

Is there anyone here smarter than I am who can explain how this could possibly work: https://youtu.be/dTyeLn7kt08 I get how it could work on a knife with axe-like geometry (like the ER he demonstrates it on), but Im not seeing how it could work on a knife meant to function like a knife. Sharpen to a polished edge, then apply a coarse microbevel?

I've been doing that for years with my K2 (~10dps main bevel, ~15dps micro). I've tested a ton of different kinds of edges on it, and that's the one that both cuts and looks best (subjective, of course) and lasts longest.

Are you one who posted the collection pic on the Spyderco subreddit, and asked about info on the SpyderWrench?

The opposing stop pins are one of the coolest features I've ever seen, and they rarely even get mentioned in "reviews."

Those are the only clip screw sizes I've ever personally seen used on non-Japanese, Asian made Spydercos.
