Re: Bleach FRN?

Leave them sitting on a sunny window sill. The UV light will fade them like you won’t believe.
The UV will fade the higher frequency/shorter wave length colors of the spectrum to white.

Turn regularly.

Re: Knife lubricating agents

I have a spray can of CRC Heavy Duty Silicone in front of me and the warnings on the label say: "Lubricates metal, rubber, nylon, and wood. DO NOT USE ON PLASTICS." One of the ingredients listed on the can is acetone. Acetone will melt plastics. I also have another spray can of silicone spray out in...

Re: Simple Endura Mod

I hate the first point on the endura and I know a lot of other people do as well. It bothers me a little that spyderco will entertain all sorts of (sometimes ridiculous) requests but refuses to give us a second handle option for the endura and delica. The endura 4 would be perfect for me if the han...

Internal debate: Another Spyderpac or sell some knives?
Buy more knives and clip them on the outside of the pockets of the SpyderPak. ;) That way you don't have the immediate expense of buying another SpyderPak. :D

Re: Needed More Space, Got A Spyderpak

Looks great bro, nice idea, just ordered the same SP2 one. How much door room do you need to hand it vertically? Salty Dog, I'm not sure what you mean by "how much room to hand it vertically." Let me know, and I'll get back to you. Plus, I found that two of the 3M Utility Hooks didn't hold the full...

Re: Spyderco Steel Types

I have a question regarding different blade steels. I know that depending on the steel it has different properties such as how long the edge lasts sharp, the ease of sharpening, and rust resistance, but as far as initial sharpness of the steel is there any difference in how sharp you can get the st...

Re: Para 3 Maxamet strange patina

I just took a look at my three Maxamet blades. I do have smudge marks on the blades and some are around the thumb hole. Have you tried to wipe the blade with Isopropyl alcohol, or acetone (nail polish remover) on a cotton swap? I’ve found stone washed, or tumbled blades have a micro surface roughnes...

Re: Cruwear Endela?

I've been enjoying my recently acquired K390 Endela, and that is what prompted me to enquire about a possible Cruwear version. So far, K390 has performed very well for my uses, and I expect it will stay sharp for a good long time. It will, eventually, need to be sharpened, though. One of the things...

Re: SpyOpera - what to expect?

Matus, I have a SpyOpera, also, and agree with your observations on the design. I've shown mine to friends and they really like the way it looks. With regards to edge retention, I think the only way to tell if it will excel where other Lionsteel blades have suffered is by using it. Short of taking d...

Since my folders are not meant for SD, I usually have them in a sheath of some sort in a lower cargo pocket. Talk about slow!
I’m thinking of that famous scene from “Crocodile Dundee” right now. Slow is ok, but size matters. :D

None.

I'll probably spend half of it on women and cheap booze, then just blow the the other half.

Actually, I'm thinking of going out to dinner a few times and leaving a HUGE tip. That'll be fun. ;)

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

I was in a local brick & mortar store looking at their selection of knives on Wednesday. I went back on Thursday and swung through the knife department again and they had taken 30% off of the discontinued Benchmades. I had looked at the CLA (Composite Light Auto) model behind the glass in the past, ...
