Any interest in more tough steel options for the Yojimbo 2 and other thin edge models?
I got one of those smooth g10 cru-wear yojimbos and it’s quickly become one of my favorites in the collection, it’s just so solid! But I often find myself needing to swap it out for something a lil’ more rust resistant. I love the form factor and I love the sense of security that cru-wear gives me, ...

Re: The World Is overrun by Zombies. What knife do you choose.
I'll stretch the definition but I'd go for some form of halberd or poleaxe paired with a thick machete. you really wanna keep those things at a distance.

Re: Tough Enough?
I avoid metal like the plague, and always triple check what I'm going through before I start stabbin'. Measure twice cut once yeah? otherwise don't think about it much. For steel preferences in general I preffer steels that are particularly tough or pliable (chip resistance and ease of sharpening) ,...

Re: Cruwear/Smooth G10 Yojimbo Knifecenter exclusive
Got mine in, reeeeeallly nice... Falls free, perfectly centered, locks up solid, perfect detent, stupid sharp. Lovin it. Pictures please! That G-10 looks amazing, almost polished but still a bit rough/textured. How does it feel in hand? Does it inspire confidence or is it as slippery as some people...

Re: last two Spyderco knives you cut yourself with
I don't think I've accidentally cut myself with any of my current collection. I think maybe I cut myself on my old spydiechef trying to cut onions? would've been years ago.
edit: I'm sure I'm jinxing myself by saying that, I've got a yojimbo 2 in the mail...

How much of your collection do you regularly use?
I’ve ordered my first new knife in a while (that cruwear yojimbo 2) and it’s got me thinking about which knives I actually regularly use. I absolutely dig all the knives I have, I’ve made a point to sell off anything I don’t use much. But recently I’ve really gravitated towards my “mystic” manix and...

Re: How many knives do you normally carry on you?
Often just 1 for regular day to day. If I’m carryover to a fancier occasion and just have a slippyon me, I tend to throw a spare chunkier guy in my car or something just in case. Hiking I’ve got my waterway on my backpack strap or on the front of my belt, and sometimes I bring along my salt ukpk in ...

Re: Cruwear Smallfly2
I received mine today from American Edge Knives so I want to give a shout out to the small shop that did a great job and Buddafucco for his awesome work on the board and for directing me their way. The knife is solidly made, very well balanced, and extra sharp. It took less than 10 minutes of fidge...

How do I get over my crippling fear of corrosion?
With the Cru-wear Smallfly and the Ayoob sprint coming around the corner I’m way excited! But there’s a problem, corrosion terrifies me. I should note that I’m not afraid of messing up my finish or something, knives are tools, whatevs. What worries me is rust getting into the pivot or somewhere else...

Is there any interest in a THIN tool steel knife?
Often when I see a knife in something like a 3v, or a cruwear, or a rex45, it tends to be in a big chunky thing. You know so you can pull nails, or something. But is there any interest in a tool steel knife built for cutting performance? I can’t help but think that something like Rex45 would excel i...

Backups. Or to have one in a funky steel.
For sure when the watu gets a sprint and/or gets disco’d I’ll snatch up a few more. As an example.

Re: Are We Ready Yet!!?? For A Newer/Better Hawkbill?
Would love a slightly more robust serre hawkbill for gardening. The matriarch and lil matriarch are fine but not exactly purpose built.
