Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

I don't think it's fair to fault Spyderco when a totally experimental blade in a totally experimental material doesn't live up to whatever expectations you've created for it. ... The point of a mule is to learn about the material (steel or otherwise) being used. This run definitely achieves that ob...

Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

Hi All, I posted this on Bladeforums, Spyderco sub-forum. I thought to share here, as there is more Mule activity here; I'm a bit surprised that most of the comments concerning the HIC Mule is comparing sharpness, that it doesn't get as sharp as steel. I was hoping that most would see this as a new...

Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

Anyone that picked up in store from SFO be willing to post up some pics? Would love to see a closeup of the edge. Thanks in advance! I have made up several dozen mules for friends and to donate to local charities, so I bought a few of these at SFO on release day. I ended up returning them due to no...

Re: Which Mule for joints and deboning?

I was leaning towards s45vn just for the stainless factor. If this were for me, I would give the Zmax a whirl and see wha tit actually takes to chip the edge on bone.

Re: Which Mule for joints and deboning?

I was leaning towards the s45vn, but then got on here to see what the feedback on the Zmax was and decided to make a poll. Playing around with the s45vn it has exceeded my expectations in getting a keen edge; something I could never really get going with s30v and why I became a tool steel guy. Patin...

Which Mule for joints and deboning?

I have had a really good time making handles for Mules as gifts to those I know who hunt. They have excelled as a versatile blade shape, and between all that I have made and sent out in various steels, they are probably well into the triple digits on animals processed. One of my friends wants one ma...

Re: MT29P - Mule Team Featuring Z-Max PM Release Info!

I was first in line and went back about lunch time to pick it up. So, I'm not the ebay seller and don't think I would sell mine without seeing how it handles a few field dressings first and making a neat handle for it.

Re: Mule Team MT28P CPM SPY27 Revealed!

I have been waiting patiently for Spy27 and CPM45 as I have some friends in the hunting industry who want me to make up something stainless. I hope one of the two is available soon so I have time to get things handled before the holidays.

Re: Mule Team Survey

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past? Yes 2) Did you put a handle on it? I make my own. 3) Did you make or buy a sheath? Bought from Sheath Pro and Red Hill 4) Did you test the performance of your Mule? Yes, most were gifts though because the platform lets me make something unique for f...
