Re: Spyderco Black Friday Map Holiday Sales 2023!

In for a $73 Serrated Stretch XL

They have the Military 2 Digi Camo for $156.80 which is super tempting but I am barely holding out for burple.

The action leaves a lot to be desired on lionsteel Myto. Mine sits in a box and occasionally comes out for a day before getting put away again.

Sharpmaker, I regret wasting money on other product. Secret is last few passes keep a very light touch and wow. I hit my kitchen knives weekly and demoted my nice flat stone to the garage.

Re: Looking at a first Spyderco

First Spyderco should have a finger choil, compression lock or thumb ramp.

I would buy a stretch, best place to start and see what you really want in a knife. It's also a lot easier to start with a solid mid level Spyderco and use it.

Watching, not as addictive as the original GOT. I feel like they should have gotten better actors.

Re: Switchblades!

I haven't had an issue get certain knives here in California. They just aren't legal in public. Only a few places won't ship here and lucky for me no one cares on ebay.

Re: Switchblades!

I have tried a few times to find a nice classic switch blade. It's just wrong not have a real switch blade as a knife enthusiast. I remember getting in trouble for having a hair comb switch blade growing up.

Wish someone would make a $100-200 classic switch blade made to last.

Re: Reate Exo Gravity Knife in stock

Mine can't leave the house since I'm in California. Its purely a fidget toy / letter opener but I don't have any issues with my kydex holster. I enjoy the tight click into the kydex when I pull it out or put it away. I have been thinking about a inside the pocket clip like how you stash an extra pis...

Re: Satin VS Black Blades

I like dlc liners, blades I can live with. I mostly stick to tool steels if I'm getting dlc as it compliments the steel more (why coat stainless?). Only issue with dlc is the compression lock is not as smooth. I will say that for a daily use knife I like shiny and bright so I don't lose it when I se...

This is the 6th micarta Shaman? Most die hards have at least one by now. I don't see this one being flipped as much either.

I just liked the green Black, definitely better than jade.

Re: First time buyer… which model would you choose?

Native series, really hard to not be a fan of a knife that has most of the Spyderco design esthetic. I find the finger ramp design is very hit or miss with non-knife people. Native chief if they want large or native 5 if they want 3". Most people seem to focus on American made if they find out ...

Re: The Civilian, a quick review

I really want a little matriarch, just don't really use my regular matriarch enough to pay that much from a certain store. Absolutely love the design with the hawkbill tip for cutting boxes and rope. Absolutely the best Spyderco for dinner parties for eating fondue, little smokies and cheese cubes.
