Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.

I get it! I have a knife that I carried in the service that is SE. The serrations are very similar to Spyderco but shorter in depth. Of course now they are worn and smoothed out like David’s after re-profiling. I feel that (for me) they are necessary because when I need them it’s usually a mater of...

Re: vg-10 observations

I have a great appreciation for VG10 as a well rounded, do it all knife steel. So much so that I just added a stainless steel serrated Delica (C11S) to my collection. It's been in my pocket for the last week. Love it!

Re: To loctite or not?

Only on the pivot screws if they back out by themselves and I'll reapply after disassembling...pocket clip screws if I change it's position. If I'm just making a quick small adjustment from the factory seal to perhaps center the blade, then I don't bother. Even if I break the initial seal, there's s...

I would vote for a Manix as well. This combo definitely deserves a run.
I'd be in on that as well. That would be a hard one to pass up.

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive SMOCK!

It seems like a lot of Spydie fans are passing on this one. They are still currently in stock. I don't own a Smock or a Spyderco in 20cv so I just snagged one. My wife paid for it as an early birthday present...Bonus!😁 I usually miss these exclusives/sprints when they drop so I'm excited to get my h...

Re: Earth brown/dlc or Blue/dlc bento para 2?

I don't have a Spyderco in M390 yet. I wouldn't mind it at all if they made it more accessible and decided to use it in regular production runs, especially in their Flagship models. I have an Earth Brown PM2 and a Para 3 in S35VN and I like those both just fine. Being new to Spyderco and knife colle...

Good to hear! Something like that could potentially break any knife tip regardless of what type metal.

Re: Ive been bit!

Ahh.. you were bit too! I got interested in Spyderco last December and now I have a Sharpmaker along with 5 Spyderco knives, the last one being a Manix 2 in s110v.

I'm very impressed with the company, its history and I can easily see why there are so many loyal customers.

All great knives! I also think anything in the Manix 2 line-up seems to provide a great value. :)
