No, corrosion of liners would not affect G10.
One thing that I just think about is when you have linerless construction with washers directly on G10. That could maybe I dug some wear, but my Chief is still in perfect condition.

Do you mean like texture getting worn? Yes, it will happend in some years, it will get smoother.
But other than that, it will not rot, or corrode, or dissolve, or shrink, or vanish....

I just mean wear, corrosion, etc. Anything that would “age” it basically.

Do you guys have any experience with G10 over a long period of time? Or do you know how long this material should last with daily use? Id love to know! :D

I still have the Gerber Folding Sportsman II (with Flicket, for one-handed opening) that I carried from about 1976-1982. It is very well used, but still working fine.

I have many others that date back to the early 1980's, but haven't been carried or used as much. They're also still going strong ...

I have well-used backlocks from long before Sal was making knives, and they're just fine. When my Spyderco backlocks get that old, I'll let you know.

I honestly would say, if you want a folding knife for SD, you should probably have an emerson wave feature on it. Unless you are absolutely certain that you will be able to deploy the knife quickly and with consistency, it can become a factor in a stressful scenario.
