Re: Anyone Here Like Punk Music?

When I was a little younger I was into Millencolin, NOFX, MXPX, Fenix TX, The Ataris, Comeback Kid..."X" was apparently the thing in the late 90's early 2000's haha. It's not new music, but could be new to you. And it's definitely awesome to find some other punks on the Spyderco forum. Yo...

Anyone Here Like Punk Music?

I'm a huge punk fan, and am looking for some new **** to listen to. I like Green Day, The Offspring, Ramones, The Damned,The Clash, and Rancid.

Can a knife be centered but not look like it?

I have a PM2 that looks off center from certain angles, i've taken it apart,with and without the custom scales i put on. The blade isn't rubbing, there's no blade play, and it drops shut okay. Can it be centered but not look like it?

I just saw a video where the Siren bit Eric. It happens to almost all of us, and I never would wish it on anyone, but I must admit, it was kind of funny.
Sorry, Eric. 😨

Pizza, you absolutely should get a Manix 2 LW imho.. it is an amazing design, and the CTS BD1N steel of the base model really keeps surprising me in a positive way. But then: You should absolutely also try a serrated Spydie (and the Manix LW only comes in PE unfortunately...), especially since you ...

Re: Should I get the Manix 2 LW and the UKPK or something else?

It's a bit over your budget, but the Native 5 Salt SE and a Sharpmaker. You've just got to experience a full SE knife that's been tuned up on a Sharpmaker. The Native 5 Salt combines that with essentially maintenance free materials that you can sweat on and play in the water with all summer with no...

Re: Should I get the Manix 2 LW and the UKPK or something else?

You can't go wrong with the UKPK and the Manix 2 LW. Those are two of my most used Spyderco knives (the others are the Manix 2 G-10 and the Chaparral). If I could only have two folding knives, they would probably be a Manix 2 LW and a UKPK. Definitely get them. :) How often do you travel outside of...

Should I get the Manix 2 LW and the UKPK or something else?

Recently got a PM2, first Golden Colorado Spydie and was very impressed with the fit and finish, looking for more Golden  models. I'm not terribly rich so I try to keep it under $110 per knife(Splurged on the PM2 lol), eventually saw these: https://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco-Manix-2-Knife--7989 ...

Re: Why Do People Hate Knives?

I don’t know about that. I’m pretty sure that most serious and fatal knifings, whether offensive or defensive, were caused by people without any training whatsoever in knife combatives. In fact, I’m aware of several instances where untrained people used knives to fatally wound their attackers, a co...

First time meeting another spydie user in person?

I'm super excited, last night I was angry about my plumbing being messed up, but when the plumber came, he asked about my PM2, and then he pulls out a Delica 2 stainless! He's the first spydie user I've met in person who didn't get it from me!

Re: First time sending a Knife under warranty, is it normal to be worried?

I didn't find this thread in time, but want to say anyway, that Spyderco is an excellent company in all ways, including W&R. No need to worry. My experience, and what I have read for the most part (of course not every situation is fixable to everyone's satisfaction) is that they do a good job, ...

Re: Why Do People Hate Knives?

I can tell you I'd rather have a baseball bat or a golf club than a knife if I ever got into a fight for my life. I get a similar reaction every so often, but people around here are actually very good for the most part. I have a Spyderco in my RFP, and my Leatherman Skeletool in my LFP (Also looks ...

Re: Interactions with ''Non-Knife'' People

The only incident where I was called out for carrying a knife involved an overzealous “supervisor” at one of my old jobs. I was working as a counselor at a group home for teenage boys at the time and, for obvious reasons, weapons were banned on the premises. This didn’t stop me from carrying a smal...

What do you guys consider ''Pimping'' on knives?

I have a PM2, and I'm getting a Flytanium brass scale set, a Lynch Northwest deep carry clip(Fade Ano), a glow in the dark g10 backspacer, and thinking of getting a Spyderbead lanyard. Would this be ''Pimping''?

Interactions with ''Non-Knife'' People

Anyone have a funny/cringy story about ''Non-Knife'' people? Here's 2 of mine- Whenever I show any knife over $20-''WHO WOULD SPEND $__ ON A KNIFE?!'' When I was EDCing the Emphasis and waiting for my PM2 to arrive in the mail, I showed a pic of the PM2 to my        neighbor-''They look the same to ...
