Re: Should Zome be Discontinued?

Why should it be up to us to decide? I'm pretty sure Spyderco uses sales numbers to decide whether or not to discontinue something. I don't necessarily like the Zome patterns but I'd never ask for something to be discontinued just because I don't like it. Kind of self-centered IMO
Agreed.

Re: BHQ Exclusive PM2 - DLC REX45/Copper

I’m interested in the blade only. If someone wants the copper frame, please let me know here or in the Reddit r/spydercoswap group where I have a post.

I did this with the satin version and sent the frame to a member here, would like to do this again if possible…

Re: Spyderco UTILITY Knife...

I’m not a fan of the Milwaukee utility knives. They’re cheap and have problems. The metal seems to be extremely cheap MIM and the overall execution just feels lacking.

I have an ergonomic Stanley Bostich double bladed retractable utility knife that is my go to. It’s large but it works very well.

Re: Dedicated Knife Pocket: Eddie Bauer Guides Day Off Pants

I’m glad you like them, but $63 khakis (on sale from $90) with a gimmicky knife pocket, that appears too small for a PM2 or too tight for something larger and sits at an unconventionally low height and in a forward tilted position, just doesn’t do it for me. I’m able to buy whatever clothing I like ...

Re: Ripps Garage Tech Micarta vs Flytanium Micarta Scales

Flytanium is Chinese. You might as well just order off of Wish or Alibaba if you’re buying Chinese scales. You’ll also save $50+ for equal quality of the same country of origin.

Google will bring those all right up.
Very true, but google isn’t a knife aficionado who can delve into the pros and cons from actual experience.

Re: GP Knives Exclusive Para 3 LW: Rex45, White FRN

I’m happy to see more Rex45, but I’m going to pass. Last Spyderco knife I bought from GP had problems and returning it for a refund would have cost me 15 or 20 percent.

Re: Manix 2 Flytanium Ball Cage Trouble

I had a flytanium cage and I wouldn’t recommend it. It had issues. How did I fix it you might ask… I took it out and put the factory part back in. Problems resolved.

I bought a $180 dragonfly exclusive and it arrived with major issues. It was a complete disappointment. No more Japanese Spyderco knives for me.

Re: Z-Cut cuts

I’m a fan of the zcut for certain kitchen tasks. Like any kitchen knife, it’s great for some things and not so great for others - the thinness of the blade makes it super slicey, but at the same time it deflects in apples/potatoes etc.

What matters in the comparison is the price the dealer is selling it at. Here, side by side, are BladeOps regular production PM2 next to the new Exclusive. [img] I get it. I’m just saying that if you compare MSRP it is only $5 extra. And that the previous Elmax PM2 was sold for $20 more than the cu...

That's a Janisong.

Well maybe not, that top curve could be the bottom of a thumb hole.
Not a Janisong unfortunately.
