Re: Where to get torx clip screws for Para 3?

Thank everyone for the help :) Found a local store and they unscrew the stripped screw and replace all clip screws for a small fee, so I'm fine now (but it took a lot of time, so I'm even was a little nervous because they even asked me if I have fake or real Para 3, so I started to worry, if there a...

Where to get torx clip screws for Para 3?

Good day, and sorry for the question. Tried to switch the clip on my Para 3, and when I screwed everything like I wanted to, I stripped the screw and can't unscrew it now. I think I can just use the file and try the flathead driver to remove it, but I guess I will need the new one after that. In my ...

Re: First Spyderco knife to obtain in 2020?

Ordered myself the regular Para 3 with black G10 scales, will modify it eventually with deep carry clip and maybe titanium screws etc. When I finally got it in hand, it's just clicked. So, in a 2-3 days I will get my own. Can't wait. Thanks for reporting back! Enjoy it! (And be prepared: More Spydi...

I've waiting for a Native 5 FRN Pink in my store (they should get it to me in a week or so), is S30V worth it?

Re: First Spyderco knife to obtain in 2020?

OK, I spent some time in the shops, so here's impressions: - Chaparral - too small for my hand, I have not so big of a hand, but sausage-fingers, so Chap uncomfortable for my standart grip at all :( and too light, almost like my son's toys - Para 3 LW - the blade in the shop was soooo off-centered, ...

Re: First Spyderco knife to obtain in 2020?

"SE" stands for serrated indeed.. And what do you mean by "you don´t get serrated blades"? Did you ever really try a spyderedged knife (so a serrated SPYDERCO knife, ideally in full flat grind)? For me it works better in most tasks than a plain edge. And if you know how (and hav...

I don't get serrated blades (if SE stands for "serrated").

Is there any fakes of Para 3 LW out there?

Since I don't really have an option to go for the store and pick a knife (nearest one in 300km away from me, and the stock is limited as ****), I want to know - is there a possibility to get a knife from an international online retailer and receive some replica or a clone, but not a Para 3 LW? Thank...

Re: 2020 Spyderco Product Guide

I think the Product Catalog is for the information - for me, as a newbee who are not even decided yet what Spyderco knife I want to carry, it's a great thing. For a fan, it's just an usefull information guide about blade shapes, measurements etc. It's great, that we got a NEW stuff in a separate cat...

Re: First Spyderco knife to obtain in 2020?

Ah, yes, I think the para3 lw has a single washer, so they're often a bit off-center. I haven't taken apart the m390 one, though. Niw I'm curious to see if it has a thicker washer than the others, which might explain the more extreme off-centering. A project for another day... even if it is thick -...

Yep, the blades are off center in both the para3 lw's that I have. But they function perfectly. I understand being OCD about these things and not liking the asymmetry, but it doesn't ever seem to affect functioning in this knife.
Can you get a picture for me, if it's not a problem? :)

Re: First Spyderco knife to obtain in 2020?

And in the end: You can´t go wrong with most Spydercos anyway ;) I found out that in the local store not too far from me they have a regular Para 3, Yojimbo 2, Delica and Chap, so I'll go and check them on tuesday, to get the size and feel, to really understand what I need. I realized that I love t...

Very important for a larger knives, I suppose. When you need to cut through something big, the last thing you want is a lock failure.
