Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.

Anyone have any feedback on the Police 4 LW K390? Trying to decide between the plain and serrated edge. Shane, I just replied in the other thread. I'll not go into he whole thing again, other than to reiterate "A serrated edge adds more 'cut' to your blade." It's like putting it on steroi...

Re: What knife is best for…

How to you like the Police 4 LW K390 SE? I am trying to decide between the plain and serrated. It is a fantastic knife. If you like SE and you have a sharpmaker I wouldn’t hesitate. I’m going to buy one in PE as well - it’s that good 👍🏻 I have a sharp maker but little experience with serrated. Been...

I agree. To me the Military is Spyderco's most iconic knife, and SPY27 is their proprietary steel. Perfect combo!

I'd prefer the OG Millie, but that's probably less likely.
Which model of the currently available OG’s do you prefer?

Re: Knives - FRN with Liners

The chaparral lightweight is frn with liners. Very solid feeling, yet with a very slicey thin blade. Great knife. That was in my cart but just sold out. I will definitely be getting that one or the Chaparral® Raffir Noble. Also considering these: Stretch™ 2 XL Gray G-10 CPM® Cru-Wear Bradley 2 Kapa...

Re: Knives - FRN with Liners

Many FRN knives Spyderco makes will have lined handles, outside of the salt series. The following models will have liners - Endura, Delica, Rockjumper, Stretch 2, Police, Para 3 (partial), etc. The following models do not have liners - Native Chief, Dragonfly, UKPK, Stretch XL, Pacific Salt, Salt 2...

Knives - FRN with Liners

I recently purchased the Spyderco Police LW in K390 and the Stretch 2 K390. I really like the way both of them feel and the heft with liners. Are there any other FRN knives that have liner similar to these knives?

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!

I just ordered a second backup for my primary carry on Black Friday. It has no lanyard tube issues. the first one I got which was early on in the production run very slightly kissed it but after the first sharpening was free and clear I am going to order one. I didnt like lock backs at the beginnin...

How is everyone enjoying thieir XL G10? Considering one as daily carry. I assume the lanyard tube issue has been resolved?

Re: Price increases for 2024

Oh well. The question is by how much. Another wave of inflation is coming anyway. I will get the SE Chaparral no matter what. And a liner lock Military for backup before it gets discontinued. Which OG Military are you considering? The one with digicam g10 + dlc blade. Knowing myself, I will probabl...

The Bradley folder, the Native Chief and the S110V Military would be my picks, and would get a maple Chaparral too for a small EDC.
And then the Stretch 2 XL Cru-Wear, if any money left.
Thanks, maple Chaparral just sold out again.

Re: Looking for input on next Spyderco.

Cruwear micarcta pm2 would be at the top of my list. If, for nothing else cruwear is my favorite non stainless steel. And you dont have a pm2. Everyone should have a pm2 haha. Or the stretch 2xl in cruwear if you prefer the backlock and frn (probablly my preference). Other than that, you mostly hav...

Regular use for me turns s110v into a jagged edge. I can’t recommend the steel to anyone who wouldn’t baby the knife and doesn’t have a knife sharpener.
Thanks. After some research, it looks like the S30V would be better for me.

I have the S110V version. I personally prefer Spyderco's S30V especially at the better price. Unless you are looking for a step up in corrosion resistance or wear resistance or you just like the color blurple, I would recommend saving the $'s and getting an S30V version of your choice.
Thanks.

I like the S110V myself. It doesn't sharpen up as easily as BG42 and is more prone to chipping when hitting something hard, like bone or staples, but I've thrashed mine pretty hard and it is still kicking.
Thanks.
