Re: Galley-V 600F Sharpener now shipping to Dealers
We developed he Galley-V primarily for commercial use. They originals were set up at the end of a production row of tables so workers could touch up their blade in a few seconds.
The new version is actually thinner in angle. We went from 30 degrees inclusive to 20 degrees inclusive. Not all ...

Re: Finer CBN/diamond rods for the sharpmaker?
I would like a Diamond stone for the sharpmaker the same as the medium stones grit
as well as a finer one too. If it never arrives I will build one with a block of wood
and cut slots in it at the same angle as the Sharpmaker and use whatever thin Diamond
stones I can find and just shove them into ...

I discussed it with a fellow knife bro today and said " I don't mind paying more for a premium steel and gonzo scale color. I tire of the instant sellout of decent steel options. My money will just go elsewhere, because I do not buy from the ...

Re: Tell us about your Spyderco Knife of the Year 2019
I bought a few this year but the one that really stands out is the CQI Kapara.
I did not like the look in pictures but I wanted to try it anyway....what a revelation
this knife is! The fit and finish are spectacular...action is smooooth. It drops shut
like it is already broken in. It feels ...

Re: Newbie steel question.
I am enjoying this thread. Larrin and Ankerson are epic. I would love to spend an evening
trying out different knives in different steels with you guys...I can't imagine a better time!
The conversation would be excellent!!!
I consider myself a steel snob but I really like S30V for EDC. It holds ...

Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?
I really like my Native Chief. I was afraid it would be weak without liners and saw
how small the pivot for the lock looked at the side of the scale. Then...I saw a disassembly
video which shows the pivot pin for the lock is stepped (duh..I never considered that).
It has a lot more surface area to ...

Re: Rare and Unusual Spydercos
About the only rare one I've got. Besides some tough to get Sprints/Exclusives
1st gen SE Endura. Which has become a great camping and landscape working knife.

M390, 20CV, 204P. In any models, not just the Chief. I really like S30V fine as well.
My Native Chief is hilarious next to my Lil Native btw. Both great knives!

Re: Ikuchi
I have a new Ikuchi. It was a bit hard to open but I oiled it and exercised it a little and it is easy now. I can
deliberately misfire it too if I operate it very slowly.
It has no discernible blade play...but when closed...it is a tiny bit off center. Releasing the lock pressure
causes the ...

Re: Which steel has impressed you lately?
I EDC a Lil Native with the comp lock. The S30V on the blade combined with a
great factory grind has made for a fantastic EDC knife. I use it all the time at work and
every 2 to 4 weeks it easily comes up on the sharpmaker to a hair popping edge.
Really sweet.

Re: Kapara CQI
I bought my Kapara from DLT recently and was very pleased...but it seemed the lock release pressure was too high.
Being fearless I formed the lockbar slightly to reduce tension and now the knife is perfect. It has a luxurious feel in
