Question for Sal about sharpening serrated K390

I’ve got a Sharpmaker and the accompanying DVD. I haven’t got to the point with my blades where I need to use them yet. I also have a serrated K390 Endura in-bound. I know you (Sal) address sharpening serrated blades on the DVD, and I was wondering if any additional technical info is needed in order...

I even started to make scales for the GB2 with micarta. For now I've only made green canvas micarta scales (2 sets), but in the next weeks I'll definitely make more !
Beautiful work!

I've been carrying *insert non-Spyderco* for a few weeks and I should really switch it up.

Gernot, this is my favourite thing posted in the forum for some time. I'm a huge history buff + I love knives + you're the best Austrian I know!

Exceedingly cool. Thanks for sharing!

Re: That darn Subvert!

I appreciate the all input folks. And please note; I don't feel like you were criticizing me. I was just trying to make clear I've experienced the spectrum of detent strength, and this pretty much existed outside of it on the weak end.

Have a fantastic weekend y'all!

Re: That darn Subvert!

i don't have this knife, but in my experience, one man's light detent is another man's smooth operation. i like the taichung detents i've experienced. Like my post said, I have Taichung experience. This was beyond light detent. This was dangerous. I agree everyone’s mileage varies, but this was the...

That darn Subvert!

During the flash Spyderco sale every retailer seemed to be having a few days back, my local one marked the orange S30V Subvert down more than $100. I had been humming and hawing over it for a while, and now was my chance to strike! I had read/watched every review I could find online, and the negativ...

For those wanting a deep-carry Subvert clip…

I emailed Casey Lynch inquiring about it and this was his response: “Thanks for the email. I just ordered one to start designing a clip, and I'm hoping to have them in production in August.” WOO! The only complaint I see about this knife across the board is that an upgraded clip would be nice. And L...

You guys in the USA sure are lucky, those prices are just wow...
Not sure if you're in Canada, but Warriors and Wonders just put over 200 Spyderco products on sale for 3 days. Definitely worth a look! I picked up a Subvert that had been discounted more than $100.

So I had my wife do a blind feel test :winking-tongue

She picked the Carbon Fiber one each of the 5 test. I think the CF is indeed more grippy but not by much to warrant a choice between the two.
Thanks for the reply and cheers to your wife for the science experiment. This bodes very well!

^^^I really love the group pic but it sure does make me regret that I didn't buy a Ulize when they were available. That's a beauty.^^^
Took the words right out of my mouth! My retailer had them way longer than a lot of the other big sellers, and I still managed to wait too long.

they kind of remind me of metallica's load album cover, but it's a really nice multicolor slate tile.
Yikes! Hopefully the folks who made those tiles didn't do the same thing Metallica did to get that effect.

Re: Will we see a Stretch 2 XL Lightweight in CRUWEAR?

Minora, I hope my response didn’t come across like I don’t want your knife to happen. If a S2XL LW came out in Cruwear, I’d meet you in line for one. It just seems like there are so many knives in the pipeline before that sort of thing transpires. That’s all I was getting at. I’m really glad Sal chi...
