If/when this happens, I'm buying 3x. This could end up being my favourite Spydie!

Re: Shaman Z-Wear Sprint - General Discussion & Support thread - (not alerts)

Mine came from KW today. Feels a little grippier than the Cru-carta did out of the box from what I can remember, which is a good thing. I waxed my old Cru-carta one with Drumstick wax which gave it a lot more grip, but it does darken the color. I'll probably use this as-is for now and add wax later...

Hahaha! Well-played. I really should visit this forum more often. I usually just stick to BF for some reason..

Re: A few questions about the Opus.

I had the Opus on my radar screen for a long time (I was looking for a "Native Chief with a liner lock") but never pulled the trigger. I read some negative comments and, in addition, it was hardly discounted by almost every Internet dealer. That made me suspicious and think that the Opus would not ...

Re: A few questions about the Opus.

If you can get a good price on one I think it will be fine. I got one because I got a ulize and was hoping I would like it as much as that knife. Personally the opus isnt for me but that doesnt mean its a bad knife. Just some things to note. 1. Its big. It is sort of that designers take on a milita...

Re: Z-Wear Shaman: availability discussion & lookout thread

Hi Sal, thanks for pushing to make more of this version so more people get a chance to own one. Couple of follow up q's.. 1. Any ETA of when these will start hitting dealers? 2. Last year following the Cru-carta frenzy you said your team had decided to make 3 additional Micarta Shamans. There was s...

Re: Official plea for a Rock Jumper XL

I’m an advocate for a Rock Jumper XL. The only reason I haven’t bought the standard variant is because I have enormous hands. Everything about the design I dig, except it’s too small..

A few questions about the Opus.

Although it’s discontinued, I recently came across the Opus and liked what I saw. It’s essentially a super-charged Endura....with more curvy ergos. I did some googling and haven’t come across many actual reviews. I was wondering if any of you fine folks have experience with this pattern, and I’d lov...

Re: Regarding the titanium/damascus Endura 4

To me, the titanium versions of the Delica and Endura are absolutely the best variants, whatever blade may be sitting in their frames. They are incredibly slim and light yet incredibly sturdy feeling, and of course have no nested SS liners. They are not nearly as “grippy” compared to the FRN or G10...

Regarding the titanium/damascus Endura 4

Despite my Military/Police 4/Manix 2 XL sized hands, the Endura 4 has quickly become my favorite Spyderco platform. It's the perfect balance between capability and pocketability as far as I'm concerned. I'm considering stepping up to the most ballin' E4 out there; the titanium-scaled and damascus-cl...

pacific salt se. of all my knives, it gets pushed the hardest and it's very trustworthy.
Beat me to it. I'm constantly impressed by how much abuse my Pac Salt SE can take. I recently punched through and sawed a closet door in half with it.

Re: Long-term pakkawood scale use?

Pakkawood is supposed to be very stable stuff. I haven't noticed any changes on my delica or dragonfly, and I live in a very humid area. It looks and feels as nice as it did on day one, imo. Excellent. Thanks for the quick reply! Do you perform any regular proactive maintenance? Mineral oil, etc? I...

Long-term pakkawood scale use?

I keep flip-flopping about buying a pakkawood Endura. On paper it's perfection! Classy mahogany scales, funky laminated steel I'm excited to try, and the E4 platform which as we all know is awesome. I'm wondering how pakkawood changes over time and repeated use. I don't baby my knives, but I don't a...

Quit playing games with my heart! ;)

But yeah, an XL Rock Jumper might be the most perfect FRN Spydie I can think of..
