The Spydiechef definitely is not.

My native ended up with the tip exposed after admittedly over sharpening. My Caly 3.5 seems sufficiently buried, despite also over sharpening. On my native I did grind down the kick with a dremel and that fixed it.

My experience with my Spydiechef has made me discount any help from the warranties department all together. So I factor in caveat emptor when considering any Spyderco now. Which given the current pricing means I basically no longer consider spyderco unless presented with a good price on the secondar...

Congrats OP. I started it this past May, am down 75 right now. Though started around 400, so long way to go still. But yes, if you can get your mind around it this is doable. Just have to look at food less as an opportunity for hedonistic joy and more as part of the job to fuel your day.

Just sent the knife back, no further contact. I still have not acquired the setup to carbidize, and just have tried peening yet. For now I’m resigned to just not reaching for it often.

Mine was like this when I got it as far as the percentage goes. I don’t know for certain about the lock rock because I only noticed it this month. Suppose I need to inspect more closely. I suspect it came this way.
