I’m assuming the MSRP will be equal to the Shaman, if not higher?

I think MSRP is about $350 for the satin version.
I love the looks of the knife, but that is crazy high. I stopped chasing the new steels, so S30V is fine, but not at that price. Wow.

Re: Spydies Good For Game Processing

The Moran is one of the best hunting knives on the market for the money. I use it for deer and turkey, and it’s a great knife for both. I don’t like folders for hunting anymore, even for small birds, I like the fixed blade.

The Spyderco Moran is just so well done for game, I have given up using folders.

Re: Grail Knife (for me) Obtained!

I got mine today and it is sweet...can’t find any flaws. Centered, no lock stick, very sharp. I love it and the blue looks great. It will be a regular in my pocket.

The detent can be fixed pretty easily, however it should come from the factory with a better detent.
How is that done?

I have a blue one coming Friday, so no issue yet (maybe that issue was fixed in one of the CQIs), but I'm curious how you would address it.

Maple Chap is on the way...I have a FRN Chap, but this one will be for when I'm in a suit and want a little bit nicer look when I use it.

The Sage 5 LW is fantastic...to the point I’ll probably sell my Para 3 LW because the Sage is better in every way except the steel.

Re: Shaman sprints in stainless?

I’m definitely with you on the stainless Shaman. Tool steels sell like crazy apparently, but they are not for me...I like mine stainless. A green micarta Shaman with M390 would be perfect...or blue denim micarta.

Mine came in today...perfect knife, centered, extremely sharp and love the garnet color #gogamecocks. My brown M390 is an awesome knife functionality, just never loved the army brown color...much prefer a Marine green in a subdued color, or garnet if it’s going to stand out, and this one is perfect ...

Re: Purchase limits on Sprints/Exlusives

There's no way of preventing knives from being flipped. Even if we HAD to be collector's club members, and we could ONLY get the knives directly from Spyderco and ONLY that one knife with our number on it, there's no law that says you can't turn around and sell your knife. It would take Spyderco ha...

Glad to hear you guys like them! This knife is my personal favorite exclusive we have ever done.
It is great, can’t wait on this one. Really glad you all brought it back and that you brought in enough to last for a few hours. Thanks for the good service.

Re: DLT re-release: Spyderco Manix 2 Red G-10 - 20CV Blade - C101GPRD2

I got one...and this is one of the best deals Spyderco has. $10 more than the Red Para 3 LW, and feels like it should be twice as much. I have basically the same knife in Brown with M390, but couldn’t pass on the garnet scales, so the Brown is getting replaced and going up for sale, despite it being...

Red spyders all over would be cool and so would one big lone red spyder. I just want it black, and big enough for a real cup of coffee. Your last point....Making it big enough for a real cup is key...16 ounce coffee cups are much better than the little ones. I've been very happy with a pair of thes...

Re: I want a Sage 5 in a premium steel!!!

I’d really like one in M390/S20V or better yet LC200N...I’d like it with Garnet (sold as red) FRN Scales. I like the Sage so much better than my Para 3LW, that getting one in Garnet would let me get rid of the Para 3...can’t do it now because I carry it when the Gamecocks play for good luck. It’s a ...

I’m just going to wait until either S45V or SPY27 ends up as the next standard steel. I don’t get the point of sprinting steels that were clearly intended to be mass-market. I just want the handle and for this thread to be only emailing me when it's in stock lol I agree the patterned green G10 is a...

Re: How Spyderco changed your approach to knives

I carried older slipjoints all the time until I bought a PM2 when I found a knife shop in Richmond. That kind of ruined the slipjoints for me. I still have them, but almost never carry them..maybe sometimes in a suit I’ll carry a very slim slipjoint. The PM2 purchase also prompted me to try a few ot...
