I think MSRP is about $350 for the satin version.

I love the looks of the knife, but that is crazy high. I stopped chasing the new steels, so S30V is fine, but not at that price. Wow.

The Moran is one of the best hunting knives on the market for the money. I use it for deer and turkey, and it’s a great knife for both. I don’t like folders for hunting anymore, even for small birds, I like the fixed blade.

The Spyderco Moran is just so well done for game, I have given up using folders.

I got mine today and it is sweet...can’t find any flaws. Centered, no lock stick, very sharp. I love it and the blue looks great. It will be a regular in my pocket.

The detent can be fixed pretty easily, however it should come from the factory with a better detent.

How is that done?

I have a blue one coming Friday, so no issue yet (maybe that issue was fixed in one of the CQIs), but I'm curious how you would address it.

Maple Chap is on the way...I have a FRN Chap, but this one will be for when I'm in a suit and want a little bit nicer look when I use it.

The Sage 5 LW is fantastic...to the point I’ll probably sell my Para 3 LW because the Sage is better in every way except the steel.

I’m definitely with you on the stainless Shaman. Tool steels sell like crazy apparently, but they are not for me...I like mine stainless. A green micarta Shaman with M390 would be perfect...or blue denim micarta.
