Re: Has any knife made you stop buying knives?
Pretty much the large Sebenza. I thought what am I spending my money on? This doesn't do anything my other knives can't do for hundreds and hundreds less. It's a nice knife but for 500+ I'll let someone else enjoy it.

On the chap I use a Japanese water stone, take it to 1,000 grit and use the leather belt on my belt sander. It’s actually the same as I do with all my knives.

I loved this jeep and drove it 90% off-road for 182,000 miles before I had to put her down.

Re: Now that Sal has mentioned that possibility: Chaparral FRN variants? (blade shape, color, steel...) - your proposals
This is one of my favorite models. For this reason, I would keep the same thin build, XHP, and blade shape. The change would be in size. I prefer a blade in the 3.5-4" range. Serrations are not anything I need and even though I live within walking distance of the Atlantic I don't have problems ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Well, today and for the next whatever, I’ll carrying an Endura4 with a deep carry. I came to the realization that it will do whatever I need done and for a great deal less than a 500+ pocket knife. I came to this realization after selling off a very significant and financial portion of my collection...

Re: Putting utility aside, what's the best looking Spyderco ever made ?
I tried to think of what the best looking is and that’s tough. Spyderco was never designed to be a beauty queen and it’s not! But, it is one of the best designed knives to actually do something very, very well, whatever the task may be. This is like which of your ugly daughters is the most attractive?

I wear jeans pretty much every day, but I don't work. Wrangler's @ 36x30 something. When I worked I wore suits and those days are long gone.

This picture was after Hurricane Sandy, as I remember. We had about 14" of rain in a couple of hours and it washed out multiple dams on our little river. This canoe is about 15' above ground level and was bent in half by the floodwaters.

Re: What knife do you carry clipless?
My favorite Spyderco for EDC is my PM2. But, it has ruined many of my pants. After trying all my aftermarket clips and trying it clipless (too big) it continues to destroy. Everything I own with the wire clip seems golden. I'm thinking the aggressive surface of the g10 could also be a major factor. ...

Re: Show your Bugs and Critters
Osprey are tormented around here by bald eagles. They wait for the osprey to grab a fish and then attack them and get them to drop the fish. The eagles grab the fish in mid-air. I would like to get a photo of that.
