I think I'm going to have to try a wharncliffe now - got to make up my mind between the rock jumper and the dragonfly!
The answer here is yes.

I don’t have a wharncliffe dragonfly, but I have had a serrated rock jumper in my pocket for the last week or so.

Re: Pac salt green frn lc200n shipping to dealers!

Try for example a plastic bottle without using the tip of the knife: Much easier with SE, while PE will almost slide of the material Try it with a PE knife sharpened on a 200 grit diamond plate :D https://streamable.com/fxz3tz Notice how there's zero sliding, just like with a sharp SE. This edge is...

I figured I was overthinking it a bit. Going to give it a try either way, but nice to have some indication of what to expect.

Re: Pac salt green frn lc200n shipping to dealers!

Are these considered sprints or regular production? They sure are moving fast! The plain edge are for sure, I noticed some of the places that sold out of the PE, still had SE. I believe they’re regular production, but who know when the next batch will be made? Several models have had that happen......

Re: Pac salt green frn lc200n shipping to dealers!

I’ve never ordered from knifejoker, but since the others sold out and I’m impatient, I went for both edges, 1 of each.

Re: Spyderco's Designated "Beaters"

Uhh... all of them? Edit* seriously. Whatever’s in my pocket or within reach will get used for whatever task is at hand. If I were to destroy one (never happened), well... I think most of us here have a few other knives so, on to the next one! Pick a dragonfly, delica or other “small” knife and beat...

Re: S30V DLC Corrosion?

It doesn’t wipe right off with some oil? DLC coating is absorbent. Try a heavy coat of some oil/lubricant and see what happens. You’ll notice it soaks it up.

I only wish the release a serrated ffg Delica in the same combo. I am going to purchase the serrated green Pac Salt for sure.
It’s coming. The salt 2 will get the same treatment. Sal said the H1 models will get the the lc200n treatment as well

Re: Sal's Casual Bombshell Thread

That's unexpected. I wonder if this will be the start of a "performance series" of knives with thinner blade stock? Hi Vivi, No, The model you are speaking is is a Delica with a very thin high hollow grind. It's currently on hold due to other models ahead of it. sal Holy laser beams Batman.... yes!...

Re: Rockjumper vs. Delica Wharncliffe

It may seem like a simple design since it lacks choils and finger grooves but it's all killer and no filler if you ask me. If you ask me to. Mine finally showed up and it probably won’t be leaving my pocket for a long time. It beats out the delica and the endela for me. Nice neutral handle, just wh...

Re: H-1 Questions

I do recall a YouTuber getting edge retention comparable to D2 from a plain edge H1 blade, although it required multiple sharpenings. His theory was that the multiple sharpenings removed "burnt steel" from the edge that was probably the result of the factory grinding process. I don't have any data ...

Re: Para 3 Impressions

Much like s30v and s90v, I prefer a coarser finish on s110v. I’m going to have my s110v native reground to 10 thousandths BTE. Sharpen to approximately 15° per side on the atoma 400 grit and then microbevel it. (The only thing changing from the current set up is the regrind) We’ll see what happens.

First order of business was getting the action lubricated and cycled sufficient to get reasonable open and close effort and smoothness, which wasn...

Re: Native 5 G10 S110v liners vs linerless

Just received the C41GPDBL5 (linered version) and I'm somewhat shocked. This is the only Spyderco I have that is actually uncomfortable to hold/use. The thin G10 is not radiused at all, and the liners exhibit sharp, burred edges. It almost seems like the knife came off the line before final finishi...
