I always go for uncoated blades. More aesthetically pleasing to my eyes. I've always experienced a smoother action and less resistance while cutting with uncoated blades, but according to an earlier post, people's experiences vary.

Mine was off centered as well. I'm in the camp of "for this price, it better be perfect out of box". If it's an easy fix, why did it not get sorted out at the factory? Why is there no QC for off centered blades, blade play, etc? That's what the Factory Seconds Sale is for right? I fidgeted...

Arrived 2 days after ordering, so slow shipping from DLT is not an experience I can relate to. I like the smooth G10 scales more than I thought I would. Everyone is talking about modding theirs, but I'm content with the current configuration. Thanks to all involved with this run.

This is how I rationalized it. $30 for upgraded M390, and then an additional $9 for red handles/exclusivity. **** you could just say $39 for upgraded M390, and I would be fine with that too. Subjective, but to me, this knife represents good value.
