I voted no.
In this day and age of “super steels”, I think a set of coarse & fine Diamond (or CBN) rods should be a MUCH higher priority.

Why not just buy some custom/aftermarket micarta or G-10 scales?steelcity16 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 10:40 pmMy Delica and Salt 2 Wharnies. I'd do just about anything for a Cru-carta and G10-Cruwear version.

Re: What knife do you actually carry and use the most?
Cruwear Endela. I carry it every day, all my other knives have been collecting dust since the day I got it.
It really is the Goldilocks knife, imo.

Has there ever been a Cruwear Endura? I did a quick search but couldn’t find one.

Is the Endura still well loved in 2023?
I don’t see many posts on the Endura these days, and it doesn’t seem to get many sprint runs or dealer exclusives. I’ve fallen hard for the Endela, it’s become my most carried knife (specifically the DLT Cruwear Endela). Still love my Delicas for when I want a small folder, and the k390 Straight Spi...

Great thread bump!
Any issues with sharpening serrated k390 on the Sharpmaker rods this way?

Re: What makes a steel 'aggressive'?
I tend to think of a course edge as an aggressive cutter. Serrated may be the most aggressive. As far as an “aggressive steel”… I don’t know how to quantify that, although it does sorta feel like the edge that comes up on tool steels is a little more aggressive and nasty. Cruwear gets nasty sharp (a...

I’ve never had any interest in a Military until I saw this Crucarta one. Now I think I need a military
Same goes for the Manix. I’ve never owned or used one, it’s always been in the “one day I’ll check one out” category.
But that Crucarta Manix… that’ll be hard to resist.

Re: Are We Witnessing The Death Knell of K390 In Production Folders?
I am usually for a bit more robust (but still "piercy") tips. This could be achieved though also on a wharnie by a drop of the (straight/er) spine right and just at the very tip, like on Endura/Delica. (For the record: I personally though find the tall Spyderco wharnie blades do look quit...

Re: Are We Witnessing The Death Knell of K390 In Production Folders?
As for wharncliffe blades not being popular & discontinued, I can’t help but wonder if they had this spine shape- would it be more appealing to more customers/potential customers? IMG_0276.jpeg Personally speaking, I don’t mind the round/curved spine of the current wharncliffe blade, but I think...

Re: Are We Witnessing The Death Knell of K390 In Production Folders?
With K390, I was worried that it would be difficult to sharpen, and I was pleasantly surprised it’s not. It takes longer than all my other steels, but not too much longer. The front end sharpness and edge holding ability has been absolutely tremendous. Where I was let down by k390 is the corrosion r...

Hope it’s okay to post this-
I was looking at Sages on eBay and came across this really cool custom, I haven’t seen anything like it. I figured Sage fans would be interested in seeing it.

Re: If you had to choose only one…
I picked Cruwear only because I’ve yet to actually try Magnacut (nor is it offered in a knife I’d want to carry exclusively for 5 years).
