Re: Delica Wharnie Exclusives...MOARRR!!

Yes! A Cruwear Delica Wharncliffe might be my ultimate EDC knife.

Re: First Cruwear came today

Wait till you sharpen it, that’s when you’ll really get a feel for it & fall in love. Amazing feedback on the stones. They don’t call it “a sharpener’s steel” for nothing. It gets scary sharp, very easy.

And it’s tough as hell.

Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread

Blade HQ said that more PM2 Tantos were expected in the future. I sure hope that this is true because this is easily one of the best looking Spyderco folders. Yeah, it sucks that Blade HQ (or anyone) has the exclusive on this model and that it’s not a general release. Spoke to BladeHQ, they have no...

Re: Sprint/Exclusive Deal Breakers

Smooth G-10 handle is the only real dealbreaker for me. I got the Para 3 Cruwear with the smooth G-10 handles and it just sits in the box with a dinged up edge because I’ve dropped it so many times when closing it. The edge needs to be completely re-profiled. I don’t trust smooth grips at all. The l...

I don't care what color the blade is just give us Wharncliffe Delicas in new 'fancy' steels!
Amen :D

Re: LynchNW has amazing customer service.

He’s the best! I once saw an Instagram picture of a clip he made that had a really unique ano-fade on it. I messaged him & sent a picture asking what was it called, and he was like “I’m happy to make ya one if you want, I can get it out to ya in a couple of days”. And this was at a time when BladeHQ...

Interesting to see people asking for coarse rods for a 20° kitchen knife sharpener.
I’ve never seen ANYONE want a “toothy edge” on a chef knife...

Re: The Galley-V, where to now?

I REALLY hope to see some finer/ultra fine rods for this in the future. If I’m being honest, it seems like quite the oversight that there aren’t any. We’re talking about knives that chefs regularly take up to 5000-8000 grit and 600 is considered a starting point. My chef knives are pretty much the o...

Re: Plastic Knives are BEST.

Gotta agree with the OP. In real world use, I’ve found FRN is more durable, has better grip, better grip with gloves, better grip when wet, less prone to damage, less effected by the elements and it’s lighter. G-10 is okay. I thought I’d like it more but FRN out performs it. Smooth G-10 & carbon fib...

Re: Who of you buys only Spyderco, no other brand knives?

I’ve barely even looked at other brands since getting into Spyderco. (Although I’m still tempted to get a hinder XM-18 Wharncliffe). Fixed blades are the only knife category I stray from Spyderco on. If Spyderco ever start making more appealing(to me) fixed blades, ESPECIALLY in Cru-wear, that will ...

Looks awesome, I can’t wait to get one. Although I’ve pondered whether to hold out for a Wharncliffe version. Who am I kidding, I’ll probably get both. :D and I’m more than happy to pay $115. Hell, I think it’s a steal of a price. Half of America payed $120-$150 for a flimsy S30v bugout, **** right ...

Re: Spyderco Lock Type Preference

I came to Spyderco for the compression lock, but after getting my first Spyderco backlock (Delica), it’s hard to go back to the compression lock.
For me the backlock is just faster and easier for one-handed opening & closing.

Sucks that I missed it but that’s par for the course for Spyderco limited editions, sprint runs, etc.

Re: Anybody else want Rex45 as a Production steel?

I’d love for Cruwear to become a production steel! (And hopefully it won’t come with any more of those drop-prone slick scales). Given the demand for it, quite frankly it’s a little baffling as to why Spyderco doesn’t make more. It sucks that Cruwear is now relegated to stupid dealer exclusive limit...

I'm pretty sure this Tanto PM2 will be enough to cause me to break my boycott on S30V
Ha, same. Wish it was a tool steel instead of S30V, but... I’m still in.

This would’ve been a perfect candidate for Cruwear though(although that probably would’ve broken the internet).
