got mine last year, spring is about same as the rest. some might perceive it as more as its thinner than on most mid locks.

looking forward to this. the slipjoint variants get their fair share of love, I bet an FRN Caly would sell just as well.

Re: I Tested the Edge Retention of 48 Steels
Thank you for this amazing work! I hope that we will get some more data points on the toughness chart, especially m390 and s90v. some observations (s30v vs s90v): S30V has been tested for edge retention in the 60-65HRC range where it did arguably really well. I don't think this hardness represents w...

Re: Golden made no choil knife
I think that's a great idea.
I'd take the Caribbean design, remove the lanyard hole for space and put a hunting/drop point shaped blade in it, something similar to the Nirvana.
Doesn't matter which steel or lock but I'd fancy K390
Would be a dream knife...

Re: SHOT Show 2020 Videos and other info concerning new models
Excited about the upcoming Siren release. I believe to have heard that the black/blue handle color combo will be the first among others to come. Might as well show some extra patience. Yellow, Orange/Black would be even nicer color combos. A SE version would be interesting as well. Hope it sells wel...

Re: My struggle with the Native
The only things I liked about mine was the well made lock and good looking design. The normal grip was cramped, using the choil for a full grip was uncomfortable and locked my wrist in a certain position. Cutting bigger objects was uncomfortable because I had to be careful not to catch with the choi...

Re: Sun/Moon Chappy
I wonder how hard this variation will be to obtain? I'm contemplating pre-ordering one after pondering it all weekend. You fear it WILL be hard to option actually, despite being regular production? It´s one of my most anticipated knives in a long time, and should you be right I´d think of ord...

Sal,
sorry if I have missed the info but are there any CQI changes to the sun/moon chappy over previous iterations?
Thanks!

Re: Sun/Moon Chappy
I'm looking forward to this Chaparral. Put in my pre-order yesterday. May I ask: Where can one preorder it already? (Though I really hope it will hit European dealers eventually too... much easier for me) There may be other dealers taking pre-orders as well, but mine is with KnifeCenter. Have no id...

Unlike many, they make knives that are intended to cut and the spydiehole is smart and fun to use.

Re: Any info on why the GB 2 is unobtanium right now?
I just couldn’t see how a GB3 could be made to keep both GB1 and GB2 people happy. Just a few too many changes between the two 5DD0B716-B1A0-4533-BA15-ECD6F311E4C7.jpeg Picture borrowed from https://knifeinformer.com/spyderco-gayle-bradley-review/ tks for the comparison! Re: Still wishing for a Chaparral XL / Endela "thin edition" / or something along that lines
So for me at least just one a bit larger, 2mm "mainstream" ffg model is missing in Spydercos lineup. What do you think? 2mm ffg is plenty imo. I would not choose the chaparral platform since it looses edge because of the choil. An all edge model like the caribbean with ~100mm edge length ...

Re: Caribbean Scales: Love, or Hate?
Sorry, but: For ME there actually IS a middle ground... :o ;) I´d be just ok with them colorwise (don´t own a Caribbean). No love, no hate A moderate viewpoint about the Caribbean’s scales?! Heresy  ! More seriously, I love the scales, though they look more like a tropical fish than a bumblebe...
