got mine last year, spring is about same as the rest. some might perceive it as more as its thinner than on most mid locks.

looking forward to this. the slipjoint variants get their fair share of love, I bet an FRN Caly would sell just as well.

Superblue like the 2010-ish sprint would be icing on the cake!

I hope that we will get some more data points on the toughness chart, especially m390 and s90v.

some observations (s30v vs s90v):

S30V has been tested for edge retention in the 60-65HRC range where it did arguably really well. I don't think this hardness represents ...

I think that's a great idea.

I'd take the Caribbean design, remove the lanyard hole for space and put a hunting/drop point shaped blade in it, something similar to the Nirvana.
Doesn't matter which steel or lock but I'd fancy K390

Excited about the upcoming Siren release. I believe to have heard that the black/blue handle color combo will be the first among others to come. Might as well show some extra patience. Yellow, Orange/Black would be even nicer color combos.

A SE version would be interesting as well. Hope it sells ...

The only things I liked about mine was the well made lock and good looking design.

The normal grip was cramped, using the choil for a full grip was uncomfortable and locked my wrist in a certain position. Cutting bigger objects was uncomfortable because I had to be careful not to catch with the ...

Unlike many, they make knives that are intended to cut and the spydiehole is smart and fun to use.

I just couldn’t see how a GB3 could be made to keep both GB1 and GB2 people happy.

Against the grain:

I remove pocket clips on all folders , they feel unnatural when using the knife
I prefer heavier knives and screw construction handles
I dislike the choil heavy designs
I am not a fan of microscopic sized knives that many seem to enjoy
I prefer liners or titanium scales ...

So for me at least just one a bit larger, 2mm "mainstream" ffg model is missing in Spydercos lineup.

What do you think?


2mm ffg is plenty imo. I would not choose the chaparral platform since it looses edge because of the choil. An all edge model like the caribbean with ~100mm edge length ...
