Imo, the SpyOpera isn't intended to be a hard use knife, but rather a cool, unique design that's very comfortable and effective for lighter daily use, very well-built, and beautiful to look at. Mine is absolutely lovely, and while I'm glad it wasn't made with 8cr, it's also true that a high edge re...
My favorite slip-joint & my favorite Dodo... :image: :) Such a great pairing! I'd love to try a Dodo someday. Is the BBL as difficult to manipulate as some make it out to be? I have my eyes on a Q Ball. The SE Dodo is something to behold, for such a small blade it has amazing cutting power... I dig...
[+1] Yeah... I have the exact same problem, it's a *VERY* slippery slope, I'm on #7. Ahem. Slot 7 in a spyderpac or 7th spyderpac? 7 SpyderPacs, 4x30 & 3x18 Although in my defense, two of the 18's are 'other' brands. Lol, good lord! nice work. My lady is sitting next to me, she was thinking im craz...
The Spyderpaks are a slippery slope. More storage equals more knives. Eventually you will have multiple large packs filled up. Don’t ask me how I know. ;) [+1] Yeah... [+1] YES! - to both, but most definitely the bolt-action-lock, I have never understood why it hasn't been used beyond the two Sage3 models....I really hope the 'new' Sage1 w/Maxamet is a sign the whole family will be redone, a new Sage3 in a tool steel like Rex45, 4V, K390, or CruWear is pretty much...
The first time I took my first P4-G10 apart it looked pretty bad, not quite that bad.... I've made it a practice to wipe down my liners with a teflon gun cloth (along with the rest of the hardware (backspacer, etc)). To date it has worked really well for me.
I think any model in Rex 121 would be awesome to try out, a Shaman or Manix2 would be my vote, but if it came in a variant of a Sage, PM2 or Para3 I'd be in for sure... I think no matter what model it is, I'm in for one.
Is it the stepped ti version? There is a blue anodized version of that and a silver version. If there is a scratch in the anodizing, there's nothing you can do besides removing the remaining anodizing and leaving as is or re-anodizing. Removing anodizing can be done with household products such as ...
Hey everyone, I have a question that I'm hoping I can tap on some of the collective wisdom here... I have several Chaparral models that I love, but not any of the Titanium varieties, and I have a chance to get one for a great price in relatively good condition, it's really seen almost zero actual us...
Here's an interesting (I thought) aritcle about Mitsubishi Heavy to build the worlds biggest zero-carbon steel plant in Austria https://asia.nikkei.com/Spotlight/Environment/Climate-Change/Mitsubishi-Heavy-to-build-biggest-zero-carbon-steel-plant I was going to post it in the main forum but I guess ...
l've held one, and they are really nice, I like the overall shape and ergos of the knife, but they are usually going for 300 or a tad more. I'm not a big fan of pinned knives, and that much $ for a VG-10 bladed knife is just a tad much for how much I like the knife, I mean, it's not an Ayoob after a...
