Re: Ideal Blade Steels For Whittling?

I hold think anything with good edge stability and toughness... I’ve also known people who didn’t know a think about steel or its properties but smugly touted a particular type or category as superior, such as carbon steel or Victorinox’s secret proprietary steel. Sometimes you can convince them oth...

mxggear.com sells deep carry clips for the Shaman, I've had one on my g10 handles for a long time.
I have this on mine, I agree it’s great.

In theory you could although enough time, if you have nothing to do for days and you’re impervious to tendonitis.

Re: Kapara Salt

I’m an “essential” worker and I sanitize my entire edc when I come home... The sanitizer has managed to rust multiple “stainless” knives, include a limited run m390 p3 lightweight. I’d kill for a kapara in lc200n. Gonna be picking up a spydiechef soon, I think. Just giving you a heads up. Soap work...

Re: What will you be getting from the new reveal?

I'm curious....why is M390 a concern? I hate to badmouth anybody and I’d like to leave shiny footprints, but there have been very legitimate issues with Lionsteel’s heat treat of m390 and its performance. I don’t know whether they’ve improved or not. If it was Spyderco doing the manufacturing I’d b...

Re: Going to the SpyOpera.

I love this design but m390 from lionsteel could be a dealbreaker for me. Maybe I’ll wait for some folks I trust to get their hands on one and give opinions.

Re: Crunch-Time Hardware? Spyders For Trying Times?

I’m “essential” and still interacting with the public daily, so I’ve become the biggest germophobe on earth. Naturally for a while I carried my brand new Rex 45 para 3, but I’ve been sanitizing the hell out of my whole EDC every time I come home. I’ve been meaning to make a post about the “pandemic ...

Re: Are sprint runs too limited?

I think Nick Shabazz has it right. Knives that are meant to be users (aka basically any spyderco sprint or exclusive) shouldn’t be limited - that just turns a user into a collector’s item that people are afraid to damage. For collectors who want the excitement and exclusivity of limited runs, decora...

Re: PARA3 with aftermarket clip question

I have a question regarding the PARA3 knife with an aftermarket belt clip. I was wondering if anyone else had bought a regular para three and used either an XMG or Lynch aftermarket deep carry clip? Does anyone know if the para three rides significantly lower with an aftermarket clip? I love the kn...

Cutlery Shoppe 2tone Para3 Rex45 - awaiting fulfillment?

Hey friends, I haven’t received a shipping confirmation for my exclusive para 3 from several days ago, and when I track the order on their website it still shows as await fulfillment. I’m getting a tiny bit worried, but I don’t mind if it’s taking a while with everything going on in the world. So I ...

Re: Cutlery Shoppe rex45 two-tone para3

The Rex 45 Shaman hasn't left my pocket since getting it, so it's hard to justify another Rex knife, but this Para 3 looks too good to pass up. I love the color combo and really like the hi-vis nature of CS orange. This combo, on the Manix 2, would make me weak in the knees. This knife adds an elem...
