Re: UKPK in Magnacut - arrival estimates
I'm going to say with some confidence, by 2025. But I was wrong about the N5 Salt.... and yes I'm joking.... Well mostly sort of. The Magnacut models seem to be taking longer, based on a sample size of 1 of course.

Re: New Dragonfly
I'm with jdw, the reverse recurve would be great. I'm thinking Cricket blade-ish like some renderings we say a couple years back. Honestly I still think the Wharnie blade is the best in this small package.

Probably will always wish for a K390 run of these before they disappear forever. Leafjumper is great, but the RJ is special.

Re: Community Sharpening Journal
Looks like what is known as a boys axe. I think it's the most useful one for camping/bushcrafting you can get. A handful of different 1x30 belts of different grits from someplace like Lee Valley and a 1x30 sander from Harbor Freight and you're almost set for life.

Re: Stok
I bought both versions. They are small, and I have medium to small hands. The stock thickness is 2.49 mm. I've used mine mostly while gardening. I liked the design but honestly don't know the best niche this would fill in my life. But there you go, I've them anyway. I'll have to put some thought int...

I was going to post this also. And if you're in the market for a Sharp Maker it's at a good price also.

Re: How to make the Byrd Tern less stiff in closing?
Sorry to give you false hope. Other than a good lube I don't have any suggestions. I don't have a lot of experience with pinned Spydies and was hoping others would chime in.

Re: Maxamet Sage 5 LW Discussions
Looks too much like the Chap LW now. I agree with this. I had to look twice and read the description to make sure I wasn't seeing a Maxamet Chap (which isn't a bad idea either. I mean the steel is already over in Taiwan right?!) I do think diamond stones or CBN is needed for Maxemet. But even the l...

Re: Maxamet Sage 5 LW Discussions
It's not exactly new to the Sage line, it is new on the Sage 5 platform. I have the Sage 1 in Maxamet and its amazing. I'm confident the Sage 5 will be equally amazing. I won't be in a hurry to pick it up. But if there was ever a Sage 5 that deserved some really nice aftermarket scales, it would be ...

Re: Sharpmaker and scissors
Yes it definitely works for scissors. Although like is often said when it comes to sharpening knives, it seems to best for touch ups and not scissors with serious edge damage. Thankfully I have the scissor attachment for my Hapstone and use that for major damaged scissors. But for touch ups the Shar...

Re: Anyone here collect fountain pens?
Pilots are almost all excellent in every price point. You'll really love the Heritage piston filler if you take the leap. Only downside on Pilots are the nib size options are hard to get in this country and I've never seen a factory stub nib. Oh wait that's not quite true I have a factory stub nib i...

I know it's popular to say MagnaCut everything. But that one would be so awesome in MC.

I've heard of the Tueller drill for a couple decades. Had no idea it was a sample size of 2? I guess I need to do some research.

I don't own any Damasteel. I might open the wallet for a G10 UKPK in Damasteel. Perfect gentleman's folder.
