Re: Yojimbo 2 LW – revisiting the idea

Delica or Deka are very easy to carry, good cutters and reliable folders, and has trainers available.

Re: CPM Spy27 in a Post-Crucible World

I would imagine that some Spy27 models will be much sought after in the future once no longer in production. The fewer made the more collectible.

I think it would be cool, especially as a wharncliffe it could fill a gap in the lineup.

Re: China

I don't avoid buying products made in China, I mean I'm typing this on some made in China tech. But knives are sort of a hobby/collectors item for me, and not just a tool where I want to maximize specifications for dollars. When it comes to knives, I'm a Spyderco enthusiast because your designs and ...

I liked seeing the Jokers unique exclusives, seeing Travis' chill videos about Spyderco releases, and regret that I never was close enough to visit the shop.

You truly don't need liners as Spyderco had proven years/decades ago. Have you heard of a Pacific Salt failing?

There's no perfect steel but with Spyderco having so many amazing steel options, one can come very close to getting the "perfect " steel for your lifestyle. Kayaking and ribeye sounds like a good one!

Re: Before I order from National Knives

I had a bad National Knives experience personally from the one purchase I made there. Reached out to Rob about it and got no response. Would have definitely ordered more from them by now due to the pricing and the fact they often seem to have sprints/exclusives/discontinued items still available ...

Should sell out sometime tonight or I’d be shocked. I’m going to sit this one out and kick myself later- this is a collectible edc spydie if there ever was one. But I have got to save some $ this summer!

Re: Wonderfully Workmanlike Wharncliffes!

Yessir, I will probably collect any future Delica/Salt 2 wharncliffes. Have 4 so far with my favorite being Salt 2 LC2000n wharnie. It hits all my boxes of being a powerful cutter, precision tip, easy to sharpen, stainless, strong ambidextrous lock, easy opening, closed bias, easy to carry ...

Bolster Sierra Nevadas so variable conditions with some unexpected storms. I got snow on trail twice last August. I have never done a trip with no stove, but I would like to try it sometime. This looks like an interesting solution to sort of warm the food you cold soak: https://www.gossamergear.com ...

I would have to try one I think. I am happiest with FRN backlocks, but never justified the Chap as I have that size range covered
