Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

Permanent pocket fixture! I actually don't even carry it clipped to my pocket, I like the little leather pouch they provided. Very handy and keeps it from getting scuffed up. The pouch is $30 if bought individually, so I suppose that probably also contributes a bit to the price of these knives. I g...

Has anyone else noticed that there are between 50-100 forum members having 41st birthday today?

Is this a glitch?
Interesting. How many members are there in total? With 20,000 members, you'd expect around 55 birthdays each day, all other things being equal.

Re: Cruwear Micarta PM2 Full liners

This opens the PM2 to a Pakkawood/other wood scale variants/Terotuf where the rigidity is not as strong as G-10, so it's not a big loss and probably won't eat up the standard G-10 PM2 market. Oooh...pakkawood pm2! I like that idea. But I'll admit, I don't understand why my aftermarket micarta pm2 s...

Re: New Para 3 Problem...Help!

I think it's very possible that the screw is just stripped. I've had this happen before on a pm2 the first time I switched the clip. It's definitely annoying that the screws are so soft. Look closely at the screw and see if any grooves are flattened at the end. When it happened to me I think I just...

Re: SpyOpera, Brouwer, ...

I agree the Brouwer is what you need! It's an excellent knife, and does not look scary at all to non-knife people. It feels great in my hand, and the green color is very attractive. I love mine!

Here's a comparison between some steels close in composition from AKS.Screenshot_2021-01-19-14-34-30_2.png
So basically it's very similar to Maxamet, plus 5% Moly. So how does that affect performance?

OMG!!! A PHEONIX SPRINT!!!

Also... That Crucarta PM2 appears to be regular production!!!

We will need clarification there. Hard to tell if the sprint run title is for both or just the Phoenix
It is regular production. ;)

Re: Reveal 7 Live!

Another killer reveal! Such great stuff coming out of Seki - that pink and black dragonfly will be mine! And a cru-carta pm2??!! I'm also pretty excited to see sprints of a cool classic Spydie - I'm hopeful for more in the future! Sounds like it's going to be a while until you take that CRK leap! ;...

Re: SpyOpera - what to expect?

Imo, the SpyOpera isn't intended to be a hard use knife, but rather a cool, unique design that's very comfortable and effective for lighter daily use, very well-built, and beautiful to look at. Mine is absolutely lovely, and while I'm glad it wasn't made with 8cr, it's also true that a high edge re...

Re: Throwing hatchets/axes/tomahawks

Yeah, they've got wood handles. I think they're actually pretty durable, but I must say that they're not my favorite to throw. I much prefer the SOG Fasthawk - probably because it's lighter and I can throw it harder and further. I'm also better at getting the SOG to stick. Good to know. Maybe we'll...

Re: Do You Have Veterinary Bills?

Nice! I do a lot of my own vet care for my ball pythons, dogs, horses, etc. Everything from giving vaccinations, to aspirating a retained python egg, to irrigating burst abscesses in my horse's lymph node. I've learned to do a lot myself to save on very expensive vet calls. This is a great resource ...

Re: Throwing hatchets/axes/tomahawks

I, too, have several throwing tomahawks. I have several of the SOG Fasthawks (those are the smaller ones) and few Cold Steel tomahawks. I always bring one with me when camping to throw around a bit. Do your Cold Steel ones have wood handles? How durable are they? I'm afraid we'll just shatter them ...

Throwing hatchets/axes/tomahawks

My husband and I recently got into throwing tomahawks when a friend gave us these SOG ones as a gift. We've had so much fun with 'em that we got a set of Spyderthrowers to play with, too. Anyone else have axes/hatchets/tomahawks that are good throwers? We'd like to upgrade our set eventually. https:...
