Found the first Hen of the Woods cluster of the season. For some reason they pop up 3-4 weeks earlier than others in this one spot every year.

I pre-ordered this at the beginning of the year and it finally arrived! This might be the best production Bugout yet, imo. Not having grivory scales makes such a huge difference on this knife, and these contoured aluminum ones are awesome. Still super lightweight and they look incredible ...

We forgot to get the mail yesterday, the kid ran out to the mailbox this morning and this beauty was a surprise, wasn't supposed to be here until Tuesday! What a fine little knife, I knew I'd love it.

Definitely thought there'd be more info by now. I know Elmax hasn't been a hyped steel lately, but plenty of excellent European makers use it (Shirogorov!). If the handle material is interesting I could actually be tempted by this one since I don't currently have a stainless pm2.

It's something with a hump and straight text instead of curved. That eliminates the Shaman, Para 3, Manix 2, Manix XL, Native, Chief, etc. It looks like a PM2.

An a bit weird one:

Found this one used for a pretty low price and wanted to try it out (especially make the hollow grind really thin and turn it into a good little woodscraft folder)

It obviously is the FRN Native (C41BK) that came in S30V, BUT usually with a barrel clip.
