Re: Tasman Salt 2 in PE or SE?

I don't have the Tasman (yet), and I've never had a hawkbill salt in PE. But I am a huge fan of the SE salt hawkbills in general. In SE, even the little models pack some punch.

Re: Paramilitary 2: Authentic or Counterfeit (a lot of pics!)

Thanks a lot, guys! I have couple of fake items as well. But I did not want to buy this one as known counterfeit. I have bought it at eBay and, as I know, eBay is not supporting fake items selling. Let us see. More comments are more than welcome... Ebay should support you if you decide to return it...

Re: Need kitchen knife recommendations!

I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on VG-Max. I'm curious if the edge holding is noticeably better than VG-10, and also how the edge stability is (did they raise the HRC but lose stability?). I'll report back once we've used them a while. I wish I had a kitchen knife or larger knife in vg...

Gotta agree with Wart...though I'd prefer the G10 version (Julia and I were SO close to convert him to the G10 model!) But an SE Manix in BD1N would be a great knife.
So close! ;) But I agree, any flavor of SE Manix would get my attention.

I'm definitely getting one of these - the lines are so nice that I'll break my bkack g10 rule. ;) Maybe eventually we'll see some color options.

Yeah I am leaning toward something has to be wrong mechanical wrong with it. There is strong a detent then there is not actually being able to open the knife. I have never been able to actually flick it open and have it lock - No matter how hard I push. Most the time I can’t even push hard enough t...

Re: Need kitchen knife recommendations!

Have you looked at the Bradford knives culinary knives? I have their paring knife and chef knife in M390, and they're pretty good (and might just be in your budget range). Without a doubt the best kitchen knives I've ever used are the TRC Knives Equilibrium (chef's knife) and KO (kitchen utility si...

Re: What's Cookin'?

Dinner tonight is pork neckbones that were cooking in the slow cooker all day and some rosemary (from my patio) roasted red potatoes. Also made a gravy from the cooking liquid leftover from the slow cooker. If you have never had pork neckbones you are missing out. Really succulent meat and very che...

Too bad they excluded lefties. Oh well, bank account is happy with that, lol!
Not sure what you mean... a back-lock is ambidextrous. That's one of the positive things about a back-lock.
The pocket clip is right side, tip up only.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Been giving this one a run lately: https://i.imgur.com/MeHV1hp.jpg ... Nice feedback. I love my pe 52100 PM2 so much I was debating on getting the ce. I definitely would have bought a full se if it was offered but ended up going with a second pe model. I wish we would see more steels in se, especia...

Re: Need kitchen knife recommendations!

Even though you don't seem to like Global I think they are very well made and fit the bill for most home kitchens. I own several and they are used by my wife and I stick to the pieces I made over the years. I am very partial to the performance of high carbon, however most people would not appreciat...

Re: DLT Exclusive - Purple PM2 Cruwear

Mine arrived yesterday, too. Thanks for the super fast shipping DLT! Mine is pretty close to perfection, and I like the dlc and purple combo way more than I expected to. I was planning to swap scales btw the green k390 and this one, but now I'm not sure I want to change it!

Re: Plastic Knives are BEST.

^^Yep, it depends a lot on the model for me, and the use. I greatly prefer the g10 native over the lightweight, but I prefer the lightweight para3 over the g10 model. I love the solid feel and weight of linered g10 on the Manix 2, but when I'm wearing really lightweight clothing, nothing beats carry...
