I’ve been a bit reluctant about full SE after getting used to CE, but after letting the idea of a full SE Catcherman sink in for a bit.. that’s probably one I would seriously consider.
But first I need to catch one from the CE sprint

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run
For EU folks- In stock in com2you-biwak, a bit pricey but at least you can grab it! Also still at Coutellerie Tourangelle, even for a few (not many) Euros less. Oh! didn't know they had it. It's still quite a bit more than the price estimated by Lamnia, so I'll take my chances and wait a bit longer

Re: Serrated Edge for Hunting?
What I never want to see, however, is my doctor wanting to do surgery with a serrated edge. The question though is: Would something like a surgical scalpel or at least sharpened like a surgical scalpel be practical in hunting? Would it hold up to the processing an animal? Would it chip/roll and/or ...

Re: Serrated Edge for Hunting?
SE wouldn’t be my first choice, but I haven’t tried it on a hunting knife, so it will be interesting to read your findings. If I were to go down that path, I think I’d want a wavy, rounded serration pattern over a pointy pattern, and I’d want CE over full SE. Unfortunately CE salts are hard to come ...

Nice to see you’re still kickin’ Lance!
Look forward to see inspirational photos of the Catcherman put to real use
..and to have some of them Catchermans reach European shores, so that inspiration can be converted to real life fishing adventures.

Re: This knife should be in production…My dream hunting knife put together.
Nice knife! Personally I like my hunting knives a bit smaller and find the little brother, N5 salt, to be just about a perfect hunting knife right out of the box. Light, high viz scales, easy to keep clean with no liners and very forgiving to all kinds of challenging use and conditions. Size prefere...

Serrated machete.. wow, this thread took off in a totally different direction than I anticipated :D
But then again, it's the Spyderco forums so I should have expected as much. I think maybe the creativity exceeded the market potential on this one :D

Re: G-10 Hawkbill Anyone?
I have a stainless Harpy and would definitely get a G10 Harpy if they decided to do another run. The handle size and shape is very nice and the knife is literally iconic, but smooth SS isn’t the ideal material for a hawkbill IMO. The same knife in coarse G10 would be so much more useful. And while w...

Re: Happy Easter!... And your carry today - ?
Happy Easter, Wartstein! Started out Easter with the TRL Endura for a backpacking trip in the mountains and changed to Native 5 salt for the last part, that we spent on our mountain cabin. Used the N5 to cook a meal in the mountains yesterday while out skiing, but the only picture I took was of the ...

Re: Any news on the Kapara slipjoint?
(Actually they are talking about imposing much more restrictive knife laws here in "free" (concerning knives) Austria too... I am worried... :( ) I saw there was some drama concerning Joe X and a push from some of the public and/or the authorities (according to him) to take away his knive...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run
If I can get one, it looks like the price will be the equivalent of USD 112 + VAT + processing = about USD 160. Hopefully I can avoid the shipping fee, but then I will have to buy something else as well, to get above the free shipping threshold. So not exactly free shipping :) Still not that much m...

Re: What Cell Phone Music or Radio App Do You Really Like?
I’m mostly using YouTube music to play music on my phone. I’ve used Tidal a lot in the past, all the way since it was called Wimp, and I’ll probably reactivate my subscription now that they’ve adjusted their pricing and moved away from MQA. The sound quality is noticeably better than Spotify and You...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run
I know I'm like a 33rpm record album with a scratch/skip in it. But I still can't for the life of me understand why they won't make the Catcherman model in full SE again. And this new model with the corrosion resistant steel would be perfect for a full SE blade. There are some fish fillet jobs wher...
