Re: Damascus UK Penknife UKPK

I have always loved Boomerang Damascus, it’s not Damasteel though.

And here it is with contoured CF

Re: Damascus UK Penknife UKPK

I'm a little confused about the names for different carbon fibre patterns. For some reason I'd thought the type of CF on the Kapara and Radioactive Spyder's Caly was called 'shredded', but it looks quite different to that other shredded CF shown earlier in the thread. In any case the Kapara style C...

Re: Damascus UK Penknife UKPK

I ask myself “why do I want damascus”- because it’s a show piece, and in my mind G10 is nothing special. Adding anything like firework or contouring would just add to the cost as well. It you want ivory or burgundy G10 pair that with something like Cruwear and you have something great at a low cost....

Re: Damascus UK Penknife UKPK

Yes this please! I’d like a chance at this version, but titanium and CF blow the price up too much. And I specifically dislike smooth handles. Peel ply CF would be fantastic, and is among the grippiest textures Spyderco offers - I’d think an EMT would appreciate that. I’d specifically love the gree...

Re: Damascus UK Penknife UKPK

Why not just “kill two birds with one stone” with the recent request for the return of the Ti UKPK with Damascus.

Fluted Ti with any nice patterned Damascus would get my vote. Marbled or Shredded CF would get my attention as well.

Spyderco Mosquito Sprint

In light of resent discoveries, I thought I would start a new thread. Thank you Brancron!

Sal, will you do a run of Salt Mosquitoes In either H1 or LC200N, which ever has a stronger tip?

This is one that would stay on my keychain forever and get so much use!

Re: Who's gonna get a Counter Puppy?

Honestly, I didn’t think I would use mine much but it’s probably the second most used knife in the kitchen. Even though it’s small it’s great for chopping up a lime quick or tearing through a steak with ease!

Re: Should I get the Manix 2 LW and the UKPK or something else?

Between those two I would say the UKPK, simply because I’m not fond of the Manix. If you are going for the UKPK I would hold out another 6 weeks or so and get the Heinnie Haynes S30V/G10 version. But, if you want a slip joint that you can take the clip off and wear comfortably in the bottom of your ...

Re: SPY27 or LC200N FFG Spyderhawk Sprint?

The more I think about this one I'm leaning more to LC200N than I am with the proposed "SPY27". I already know that LC200N can perform well in PE & SE both. Now I do still think it would be ideal for the PE unit to have a different handle color than the SE unit. After all that is how the original V...

I feel reassured by everyone else's positive comments about the polish. I'm in for it; especially in green. :-) Yes to green! My favorite color. :D Polished and Green...”If you build it they will come!” Plus, it will fit nicely in my new sheath :D https://files.catbox.moe/5ti0vz.jpeg

That’s great to hear Sal, thank you for the consideration! Will y’all be discussing just the UKPK or the Golden Urban as well?

Re: Golden made CF/S90V SLIPIT’s

I can understand that there might not be a ton of excitement for this configuration, but, I find it kind of strange there are dozens of new UKPK fans joining just to push the Ti version and that’s all 🤔

Re: Ok, so the Kapara is really good. Better than I thought. Especially in M4!

I love M4, but no. The next one is required to be LC200N. As a 3rd iteration, heck yea! But this knife was designed with specific thought to food prep, it should've been LC200N to begin with. I do agree with this ^ Would love to see a LC200N Marbled CF Kapara with a Yellow Backspacer! An M4 Polishe...

Golden made CF/S90V SLIPIT’s

I would love a CF/S90V UKPK and an Urban made in Golden. It seems to be an incredible combo coming out of the Golden factory and I don’t see how the UKPK hasn’t followed suit. I would also like to see the Urban manufacturing moved to the US along side the UKPK, and get the same treatment. Who’s with...

Re: Sprint Vallotton?

Smooth Carbon Fiber and you have my attention! Have you ever held a Vallotton before? I think the Polished G10 is just as bit as good as smooth carbon fiber. It's an awesome blade. I just love everything Carbon Fiber. I get tired of colored anything, carbon fiber is basically black with so much mor...
