Re: Smooth Contoured PM2

I wouldn’t want the scales to be like the Kapara or Magnitude where they are rounder overall. The Shaman is just right with just the edges being contoured and the center of the scales being flat and smooth. To do this the PM2 may have to be a hair thicker because they are so thin already.

Re: Smooth Contoured PM2

I've begged to make everything contoured but haven't had the most support. I'd have every knife I own like the Shaman if I could. I agree, I just said the PM2 because it is one of my favorite knives and I think it’s a model that could handle a variation like this. While I do like Aramis Akhmedov sc...

Smooth Contoured PM2

I was thinking about how much I love the smooth contoured scales of the Shaman, but I also love the finesse of the PM2. Can we get a run of PM2’s with smooth contoured scales (CF :D ) and maybe add a wire clip?

What do y’all think?

Re: Spyderco chinese cleaver (cai dao)?

I think it would be nice to have one with a very steep K tip, and reverse angle on the on the heel.

Kind of like this.

The Fisher Space Pen seems like the obvious suggestion. They make models with better clips or no clips, capped or clickable.
Also a good choice.
I have a Fisher Bullet Pen as backup in my work bag.
One of my favorites! I have the brass bullet with a bold refill.

I might be the only Coastie, we are a rare bunch. It is also where I received my first Spyderco, a SE Endura, which the TSA happily relieved me of!

I’ll take one of each in 52100 and SB. Keep the peel ply CF (CQI linerless) and sandwich the 52100 between some 410 stainless for something extra special.
This has my vote!

Re: GB Air Return?

I think Taichung does a great job with 20CV and S90V, and with a blade this small I can’t imagine either of those costing too much more. I’d be down with a wire clip if it was just on the right hand tip up side only, or find a way to put a wire clip in the backspacer like the PPT. This is a knife th...

GB Air Return?

There always seems be talk of the GB Air, and how some would like to see it’s return in some way, shape, or form. I would personally like to see it return the exact same way but with Shred or Marbled CF. What are y’alls thoughts? https://i.postimg.cc/V5yvr51c/C57-CC1-FA-8-F3-C-468-A-89-FA-4-E2-D512-...

Re: Best torx wrench set

This is what I use most of the time. Are the torx bits made in Germany or Vietnam? I’ve read reviews where people have said they’ve received bits made in either place. I’m not being elitist, but I’d much rather have my screwdriver bits manufactured in Germany. Some have complained about the Vietnam...

Re: Large fixed blade- s35vn vs 3v

Here, I'll make it Spyderco relevant: Look into the Spyderco Province - 6.75" blade of CPM 4V!! All is cool and hope this helps, CG As others have said, the Province will take anything you can throw at it. It’s not stainless, so take the best care you can and don’t worry about any rust spots. Re: Urban/UKPK Wharncliffe

For a visual, it would be like taking the Drop Point UKPK and turning it into a Wharncliffe. That way you have a super pointy tip, and the blade sits nice a low in the handle giving it a low profile in the pocket. Add the swedge for icing on the cake, and do the same for the Urban! https://i.postimg...

I’d be up to anything. With the UKPK Salt already rumored to be coming we will have to wait to see what steel, blade shape, SE/PE, scale color and material it has.

Re: Urban/UKPK Wharncliffe

Wharnie UKPK with something akin to a scaled up Air blade would be the bees knees. This would be an awesome blade profile, especially with that little bit of swedge! I guess it would be kind of like a Drop Point Wharncliffe. https://i.postimg.cc/4dxLN77s/76-A5-C17-D-5-D94-46-F0-A455-D3-C0-B79220-C0...

Re: Cruwear micarta Bushcraft/Proficient

A Proficient Mule...I would have a standing order for that :D but don't think it likely to happen, as I understand the purpose of the mule is that they are all the same shape, always will be, so they can always be compared with each other, today's with those from five or six years ago. Thank you fo...

Re: Urban/UKPK Wharncliffe

I would absolutely prefer a wharnie UKPK over an Urban. I’m actually not super interested in seeing another SE rescue version only because of a recent bad experience with one of my UKPKs when I was using it a bit too “hard” and forgot it was a slipjoint. While trying to pierce open a hard plastic j...
