Re: Spyderco Rebrand Concept

Nice work! I like how the line that comes through the body looks like an “S”. Obviously I prefer the more rounded original, as this instantly reminded me of Spyder Ski Apparel.

Re: Sal—design for Roadie 2

Here is a very long discussion about a premium Spyderco Slip Joint. I think we are all looking from something.

Re: 1st spiderco

First Spyderco should be a PM2, or a PM3 if you want something a bit smaller. Bento Box Shop still has two of the better steels still in stock M390 and K390.

Now that I know it is smooth, I kind of like it. Soooo easy on the pocket!

Not bad. For me, I’d prefer a clip and lanyard hole.
I’m indifferent on both of those, but looking at it more it reminds me of an FRN Kiwi.

Re: Sal—design for Roadie 2

Here it is with handle 1 and blade 2 and a bit taller. Also a shorter ricasso and K390 :D

Re: Sal—design for Roadie 2

After looking at them, I think the ricasso could be shortened to give a bit more blade length and make the entire choil a bit smaller.

Here are a couple more variations of the Roadie, a larger one and a swayback.

No thanks. Pink is not my color.

Nice to see it happening, though, for those who want it!
My thoughts exactly! My wife actually despises all the stuff in the Gun, Knife and Hunting community that just add pink or purple to something to make women want it, e.g. pink camo.

Re: The best pocket knife ever

If the UKpk came in K390, I'd say it's a strong contender for that title.... STRONGLY agree!! If the same quality as the HH exclusive. I have to say I strongly prefer that knife to any other slippie I've had, including a couple Urbans. While I love my K390 Urban, if we get a G10, or better yet a Mi...

Re: Shaman XL

With this long and heavy of a blade is it going to have to have the spring detent like the Szabo? I hope not.

Also, why not at least make this a flash batch and never make it again.

Re: Shaman XL

This would also be great because Spyderco doesn’t currently have a 4” comp lock. And if weight is a concern I’m not opposed to Ti liners and CF :D

I’d buy it, and just come out of the gate with Crucarta and it will be an instant success!

Re: Sal—design for Roadie 2

This is something I brought up a while back in bit of a different way. And Doc has is it right with “Trim and Slim like the original, but slightly longer and a bit taller”. I would love to see a tool steel, micarta, sheepfoot(maybe modified) and still be able to throw it in the pocket of my dress pa...

I’d love to see another sprint run of the Spyderhawk, exactly as it was, with a different color FRN.

Re: Knife request idea.

This might be a good situation for a Neck Knife. No moving parts, can be hidden if needed and it won’t weigh down some already flimsy scrubs. The idea of copper scales and a dark turquoise (scrub color) sheath would be a pretty nice setup.

I love when they take it a step further and do a mirror finish and then stonewash it, like on the Slysz Bowie.

Sand it. Be careful, go slow, dont take too much off.
I did the same thing to my Benchmade Hunt knife. I sanded it just enough so it didn’t snag, it still bugged me enough that I really never carried it again. Good news though, there are lots of scale options for you.

Pretending a Back Lock is fun to fidget with just because it’s a new knife, when you know your Comp Lock is waiting for your return! ;)
