Re: Venting about Tanto PM2.. again.

I agree this should never have been an exclusive, I'd like to see it in production. I looked for one on the secondary but quickly became disgusted with the prices from flippers. I remember the commotion when Eric had it on a bladeshow video and I thought with the excitement it would be produced in l...

Re: Spyderco 2023 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Is nobody going to mention the restock of PM2 Tantos available at Blade HQ right now? https://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco-Paramilitary-2-Tanto--99612 I apologize profusely for an off topic reply on this thread but was this also offered in satin and it's out of stock or have they only re-released...

Re: Custom Chaparral LW Micarta Scales!

I've never owned a chap but now that there's one in SE a set of these in bone linen would really class it up for a gentlemans carry. I have a SE delica with micarta but vg10 doesn't thrill me, once you add micarta to the overall price it is a bit hard to justify. Decisions decisions. ETA: I might ju...

This pair did make me curious, does anyone here have a preference for LC200N given a magnacut alternative?

Re: A golden era of salts

My three favorite salts are all discontinued: Waterway, PAC Salt 1 SE, Caribbean Leaf SE.

There's nice new additions in this reveal but I'll wait for a SE Manix.

I'll be grabbing the Chaparral for sure, I've been wanting one in SE for years. :clinking-mugs A bit sad the Manix salt won't be offered in SE, I have been anticipating that one for a while now. Sam here... :neutral Technically I wanted a re-release of the SE Jess Horn but this always seemed more r...

Re: 2024 Official Discontinued List

The waterway and many of the Japanese serrated models are very disappointing to see on the list. Hard blows to my favorite knives, especially after the loss of the SE Caribbean. Once again, I hope we see a back lock Caribbean or magacut siren/waterway/Caribbean to fill in some gaps.

Re: Spyderco Caribbean on Sale

I absolutely love the Caribbean but the light detent makes it so hard to carry in the summer with lightweight shorts on. I tend to gravitate to the pac salt, but the thumb ramp on that one is could do without, ideally. Waiting on the back lock Caribbean for the perfect folder I suppose.

Re: What you don't like about spyderco knives?

Too few serrated options, the Siren for example should have been offered in SE. ... THIS. Too few serrated options / versions generally (Manix 2 LW ?!), and, yes, the Siren would have been amazing in SE (and FRN...) I've always been surprised we never got a serrated Mule Team or two. Hopefully a SE...

Lately the price hikes. There's a lot of competition the pricier Spydercos get.

I'd like to see less exclusives. The PM2 tanto for example should be regular production.

Re: Pick One Favorite.

I am a reformed spydie collector. I put my money where my mouth is and sold everything except my serrated pac salt. I'll see how the manix salt compares when it comes out (never owned a manix).

I have a custom non-spydie as well, for EDC in colder months where I don't sweat so much.

Any word on the Lil Nirvana? Feels like it's been a few years since it debuted in the prototype displays.

I'm happy to see several new options in SE but sadly there's nothing in the reveal I'll be chasing. Might finally be time to pony up for a Pochi to put on my desk.

Re: Salt 2 vs Native 5 Salt

I worded that carefully because I exclusively carry salt series but the Caribbean is my favorite folder IF I have sturdy pants pockets, I don't trust them to stay closed IWB or in loose summer shorts.

Re: Salt 2 vs Native 5 Salt

In a perfect world I'd take a native without a choil but I'll settle for the Salt 2 or even a dragonfly salt. Just don't like choils on anything bigger than a dragonfly. I think once the Endela makes it to a Salt variant it will be even less of a competition if you don't like the size of a Pac Salt....
