Re: Three Rivers Manufacturing Neutron
Never had a Neutron but owned the Atom, wasn't my cup of tea and sold it. I think some of the Youtubers make the Neutron and the Atom out to be more than what they are and I probably had unrealistic expectations for the knife but ended up a bit underwhelmed. The handle was thinner than what I like a...

Re: S30V, VG-10; But If I Had A Choice???
For a sub $200 knife I don't have a problem with S30V at all, the Para 3 has met/exceeded expectations performance wise, getting north of $200 I expect better blade steel and most of the knives I'm interested anymore are quite more than that.

Re: What's good about S30V
I only have one knife in S30V (Para 3), also have the XHP Chaparral and the Para 3 holds an edge just as well if not better, I actually think better even though the internet tells me XHP is a better steel, it also is easier to put an edge on and I can get it razor sharp. Have a couple of other blade...

Checkout MXG, if I were to buy a Shaman I would automatically replace the clip with a MXG deep carry clip.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?
Anyone know when it might hit the Spyderco website? I'd love to take advantage of my OpFocus discount and bring one of these tough Shamans on my upcoming deployment. It was just moved from New Reveals to products being sold yesterday, I know it says out of stock but I don't think they have loaded t...

Re: Spydiechef or Advocate
Depends on your needs. The Spydiechef is a great food prep knife and a bit less useful for edc. The advocate is the other way around. I would not buy a knife for the fear of missing out. Instead buy what you need or like to have. I'm not a professional cook but I am an enthusiast and I'm here tell ...

Marine grade SS such is 304 is not magnetic and will not rust, 450 SS on the other hand is magnetic and will rust, there are other grades but you get the point.

Re: Reveal Three Sprints Sell Out Timeframe
Will the Spyderco online store offer the Cru-Wear Micarta Shaman for purchase when it becomes available? I like to buy direct due to the generous discount Spyderco offers to Vets and First Responders.

Re: How about a titanium compression frame lock?
Unlike the switch from liner to frame lock, where you (in theory) get a lock that works harder when you grip harder, the switch to a frame comp lock doesn't get you anything except more difficult machining. In fact, you may just be making the lock worse, because you can't pinch the lock with your i...
