Re: Native Chief Strength
I have one from 2019.
Linerless G10 is very solid, you are not going to break the handle, the blade would snap at plunge line, or somewhere else.
If you are not using your knife as a prybar, Native Chief is a very solid knife.

Re: What does it take to make full SE?
Just for perspective, this is how diamond coated wheel for serration looks like https://www.knifekits.com/vcom/images/dsw1_1_600.jpg But as you can see, you can only make a straight line with it. How Spyderco is doing curves (belly, recurve) is black magic to me. Edit: what do I know, maybe you can ...

Re: Spyderco in use, review/feedback thread
Glad to hear that.
I watched some videos, and the S35VN from China seems to be good. But, I mean, Spyderco would not let something half-assed come out from factory.
Tenacious always interested me, because of that edge all the way to the handle. It is on my list.

Re: FRN Chaparral - impressions
Snip Of course you are right with all your observation with Sage. There are quite a few differences, but in my mind, Sage is in the same category of knives as a Chaparral, but just a bit bigger. One thing that I wonder is, if the 2 mm blade stock would be sufficient enough for longer blade. Probabl...

Re: FRN Chaparral - impressions
I have FRN Chaparral since 2019 (?) and it is a wonderful little knife. Fit and finish is excellent, cuts like crazy, and it has proper 4 finger grip while using a choil. Even tho the wire clip is not my favourite, it's doing its job ok. IMO, for EDC, FRN is the best material. Wood is nice, so the f...

Hey Vivi, thank you for pics and good reading.
Resilience is a tad big for me, but I was looking at Tenacious s35vn yesterday, nice knife for sure.

Good move.
I really like the contours of SpydieChef, I think it's way better looking then Slysz Bowie. I think you will be satisfied.

Re: Question about Salt/Spydie Chef
Spydie Chef is a part of Salt series, so the whole knife should be extremely rust resistant. Long time ago, there were some reports of the locking surface having some discoloration, but again, it's a frame lock made from titanium, titanium does not rust (as in rusting like steel). So the whole knife...

Re: What's up with Spydiechef's lockstick?
I wonder if there is a way to make a lockbar insert that would full Salt proof.
Because when you think about it, normal insert plus screw is added complexity which can rust...
Maybe a ceramic ball insert, like on Chris Reeve?
