Re: Your "return ethics"?

Great thread! There are some thought provoking and interesting ideas here. My return ethics are simple. I won't return a knife because I don't like it, whether that be ergos, blade shape, overall design whatever. At the end of the day, I chose to buy it, now I get to live with it or sell it. On the ...

Re: Bento Box Customer Service...

They have every right to operate their business however they see fit, and I have every right to never order from them. So far it's working out great for both of us. 100% agreed! I've never ordered from them, and I definitely won't. I understand that's their policy but there are too many great deale...

I'm told that any clip that fits a Military will fit the Tuff but I've never tried it.

Re: Show Your Patina!

After only one day of use, this Police 4 is developing a Patina far faster than I expected.

This is after some kitchen use - cutting fruit, veggies, and meat. I guess the apple, pineapple, onion, and beef are having the desired effect.

Re: Yojumbo blade length?

Open secret. The prototype has been seen in the wild, but nothing official. I was hoping that someone who'd seen the prototype would have given an estimate on the size. I don't expect a Tatanka  but is it a bit bigger than the Yojimbo 2 (say 3.5"), Ronin 2 length, or... Either way, I'll t...

Yojumbo blade length?

Has anyone got any kind of info re. the blade length of the upcoming larger Yojimbo 2 aka the "Yojumbo"? Or an ETA on the release? Having just added another Yojimbo 2 to my collection, I have to say that the Yojumbo is the one knife I want to see in production more than any other proposed ...

Re: Show off your latest purchase

This CF/20CV Yojimbo 2 arrived today. I sold mine a few months back and almost immediately had regrets - so I grabbed this one as soon as I saw it on my FB feed at a killer price complete with MXG clip. Very glad to have it back seeing as this model is my #1 of all the Yojimbos. I prefer it to the M...

Re: I am gravitating towards smaller knives

My choices in blade length seem to come down to where I'm living and the local knife laws. When bigger knives were okay, I've carried a Police or an Endura. Then for a long time, a MeerKat was my EDC because it was just so small and innocuous - perfect for the specific country. I just moved to a sta...

That's a "Shut up and take my money" moment for sure.

I now live in a state with pretty much no knife restrictions. May as well carry a bigger version of my favorite knife.

Re: The backup that helps you sleep at night... ;)

I've got duplicates of some Spydercos - an original Endura and an Endura 4 for example because they're so handy, or four different Yojimbo 2's because they're bloody brilliant but I don't consider them backups because they're all replaceable if I lost one. The only real backup I have is for my Schem...

Full titanium with that proto milling pattern on both sides, Cruwear.

Sounds really good to me! But I'll take a sprint run Tuff any way I can get it (within reason).

Re: Tuff Love - Any Hope of a Sprint Run?

I was really crushed that the production version didn't get the same titanium pattern that the prototype got. If it somehow came back with that pattern I'd be very interested. Yeah I'm torn. The prototype looks better to me - more thought out and less clunky but there's something about the drilled ...

Re: Tuff Love - Any Hope of a Sprint Run?

Well, I just bought another Tuff (BNIB) for very close to Paysan money (and that's the most I've ever paid for a knife, same as Cali HogHead). So clearly I'm nuts about that knife and it's a grail for me, but it seems that buyers were lining up behind me wanting to grab it if I didn't, so I might no...

Re: Show off your latest purchase

After avoiding the Military series for ages, I finally grabbed one. My logic was faulty. I've had an Endura since the mid 90's, and in my book, the Military was just a bigger G10 Endura (more or less)... so I just ignored it along with the smaller versions. But I really like the Military - way more ...

Re: Tuff Love - Any Hope of a Sprint Run?

Man I was hoping for a hugely enthusiastic response from hundreds of Tuff lovers that'd echo all the way to Sal's ears :)

I still reckon an updated Tuff in 3V would be a hot sprint run item - it's such a distinctive knife. What's the minimum order for an Exclusive?

Re: Spydercos best "bang-for-the-buck" - knife?!

For my money, it's still the Endura. The sheer versatility and ruggedness of that thing coupled with the lowish price makes it the champ. I say that having owned an original Endura since the mid 90's. I've used it hard and carried it daily for years upon years and it's still ready for more hard work...

Bumping this back up - it got a bit lost waiting for my "new guy post" to be approved but it's too great a knife to get forgotten.
