Re: Black S90V Delica with blue liners - KW exclusive

Got around to looking at both of mine. Gotta send one back. The whole tang/flat area of one of them is completely discolored. Almost looks burnt. It doesn’t wipe off, and it’s not patina. Never seen anything quite like it to be honest. I’ve made quite a few knives in s90v, and it looks exactly like...

The Para 3 is still one that perplexes me a bit. Hopefully no new evolutions of the Paramilitary or the Para are issued that would necessitate a new name.

Re: Kapara CQI

Didn’t get a chance to handle a first run Kapara, but my CQI version is flawless. Drops shut effortlessly and was sharper out of the box than any of my previous Spydercos.

Re: Delica or Endura ZDP-189?

Depends on your preferences, but I have 4 Delicas that all see regular carry, and one endura that sits in a case mostly. I just find the Delica to be a better EDC for my needs.

Re: Looking at a Caly

Have a Caly 3 in ZDP/CF on the way that I bought on the secondary market. Pretty pumped, have been looking out for one of these for a while! Update: received my Caly 3 this week and it’s phenomena l. Great feel of the carbon fiber, super smooth action (can’t believe there’s no washers!), razor shar...

Would like to see a CF lil native, although wouldn’t mind a change in steel from s90v.

Re: Sage 5 tightness

New Sage 5 showed up today and it's a bit better...gonna tighten the pivot and work it in for a few hours and see how it goes. I'm guessing that they are just tight and not as floppy.as my.pm.or.manix I have found that with mine - definitely not as fall-shutty as my para 3 or PM2, even after extens...

Re: Consistent edc

I carried a small kershaw scallion for years (5+) before I really started to learn more about knives. At the time, I thought the assist was an indicator of a high end knife haha.

Now I have about 13 spydercos and I typically rotate around seven of them for every day use.

Re: Sage 5 tightness

I had the same issue with mine when I received it a couple months ago. It definitely helped to take the whole knife apart and give everything a good cleaning and oiling. After that it took A LOT of adjustments to the pivot before it had an action that I was happy with, but it got there. The detent i...
