Re: Noooo! Stripped threads replacing clip on my new sprint run Shaman.

Thanks a ton, y’all. That fixed it. Can’t believe I didn’t think of it, but I’ve had close to a dozen MXG replacement clips and even on spyderco knives I’ve always just been able to put the stock ones back in. First shaman tho, except one I bought as a gift for a friend. The all black and green beau...

Re: Noooo! Stripped threads replacing clip on my new sprint run Shaman.

Thanks for reminding me of the extra screws, I just went with the old one’s because they’re black. But that’s an easier fix than a stripped screw for sure. I’ll report back…

Noooo! Stripped threads replacing clip on my new sprint run Shaman.

What a bummer. I was so excited to put my MXG deep carry clip on my new green micarta M4 Shaman… First screw went in fine, but the second just won’t tighten. I assume I’ve stripped the threads, I tried two different screws. Is it possible I stripped the threads removing the screw in the first place?...

Re: YOJUMBO has been released!

Gah! Still out of stock where I’ve had my preorder in for months. I think I’ve learned a lesson about preorders on new models. Just hang on to your cash and see where they start dropping first. I’ll just be patient for now, but I’m itching to check this thing out. Y’all are killing me... ;)

Re: YOJUMBO has been released!

I’m kinda curious about that myself. I still haven’t heard a peep out of Knife Center where I’ve had it in pre order for months. If they just kind of trickle out to various retailers I won’t bother pre ordering anymore and instead just watch alerts and buy from wherever what I’m after pops up first.

Thanks L.C.! Patiently waiting for my pre-order from KC to drop... and I I have to know what’s going on with that Yo2. M4 blade with an etch and custom scales?

Dang!
Oh well, I spent nearly a grand unexpectedly on the car today. Wasn’t meant to be, but I still tried.

Re: Cleaning G 10 scales?

4 votes for Ballistol! I get into all kinds of crud with my work knife and all I have to do to keep it looking new is wipe it down a couple of times a week.

Re: Where is the love for the Manix XL??

I really like my Manix 2xl, it was my first Spyderco. I have xl hands and it fits them fine. I mostly use it in more of a camping context because my Police 4 and Yo 2 carry so much better. The Manix is like a metal 🌮 I my pocket, lol.

It’s really not that bad, but it’s a back pocket knife for me.

Re: Some issues with my new Yojimbo 2 sprints

First, I feel that I must say how awesome it is for a complaining noob on the forums not only to get a prompt response from a company representative also the actual designer of the knife. I’m blown away and very grateful. In response to Mr. Janich, in regards to the carbon fiber cpm 20cv knife I was...

Re: Some issues with my new Yojimbo 2 sprints

Thanks for the swift reply, Kristi. I doubt anything is ‘out of spec’ with the cpm 20cv sample, I think it is going back just simply due to the slick handle scales. That might be a feature BHQ should mention in the description since there are other cf models with texture, but that’s certainly not Sp...

Some issues with my new Yojimbo 2 sprints

I have been so stoked about my Yo2 that I decided to indulge in an upgrade for a backup, so I ordered the carbon fiber 20cv version. Then, literally the next day I saw that the BHQ m4 was about to drop, and I wound up being able to snag one. I can’t really justify keeping both, so I figured I would ...

Thank you, Sal. I’m also looking forward to the lightweight Police 4, love my P4 in K 390!

As a side note, I will avoid emojis in the future. Those things are HUGE. LOL.

Re: Yojimbo Love?

Hi all. I’ve lurked here for a while but this thread pushed me to sign up and register my opinion. I only got my first Yojimbo 2 a few weeks ago and it has become my favorite EDC. I have 30+ years in martial arts and this is the best always handy self defense knife I’ve ever had. And it is always ha...
