Native 5, smooth crimson g10, no liners, Magnacut.
I like where you're going.

I would like liners myself, it adds a bit of class to the knife.
If it comes out like that, I'm selling 80% of my previous knives, will need nothing else

Re: Spyderco shopping on Amazon - experiences

As a rule I don't buy knives from Amazon because it's way too easy to return them used, and that's not even considering how many fakes are on there. Years ago I did buy a ZDP Delica from Amazon and it was legit, but that was before I knew any better and the price was so good it was worth the risk. ...

Re: Spyderco shopping on Amazon - experiences

If you blindly purchase something “sold by” or “fulfilled by” amazon (Ie PRIME), then sure, the product is probably coming out of a mixed bin and you take on some risk, but it’s also amazon prime and returns are almost free and painless if you end up with something random. If you can find a reasona...

Spyderco shopping on Amazon - experiences

I've been looking to buy Chap CF the past few days, but the lack of stock of European dealers and shipping block to Europe of American dealers got me searching on Amazon. I was one press away from buying when I remembered in the back of my head of fakes and damaged knives people received from Amazon...

I think every time this thread gets bumped they push it back a day... Oh wait...oops. :o Well, another day added :D This is the first time in history that I'm anxiously waiting for some models to come up. Haven't bought anything that wowed me for some time, just from boredom, so hope we get some of...

Re: Native 5 salt lockbar tightness

It'll loosen up with use, or you can loosen the pivot a bit. The N5 Salt is known to be pretty stiff from the factory but yours looks like tighter than most. No, it's the lockbar spring. When I press my lock on N5 Salt, blade goes down freely, even can be wiggled a bit side to side, and the pivot i...

Paramilitary or Military most probably.

Wish they give us G10 Native.

Re: Legit website

The easiest way to avoid the scam sites is to buy from authorized dealers. It takes just seconds to check, or just read forum posts here where we talk about legit vendors every day. I agree. But sometimes if you want an old sprint run (I was looking at CF N5 S90V), and especially if you live in Eur...

Re: Legit website

Hey, garbrielgarner: Welcome to our forum. I would highly recommend that you steer clear of that website. It appears to be yet another version of a known counterfeit site. IF you received anything, it would most likely be a counterfeit. Kristi Hello Kristi, I know the list of authorized dealers is ...

Re: Legit website

Is www.knivesandtools.com legitimate website?

Phone number seems from Netherlands, when I do a dealer search for knivesandtools.com, it gives me another dealer name and webpage from Netherlands.

Re: Cat underrated?

Someone is reading my mind, I was looking at Cat like 5 minutes ago, open forum and find this :D I was wondering if Sal would ever pull the trigger and get some liner/compression, or any other non-ambidextrous locks, which were not from Golden, in the left handed version. So MANY great designs, make...

Re: Seki black blade K390 run?

I’m in lower NY and my K390 Police 4 is starting to patina. I had some very small superficial rust spots that I was able to remove. I do get the knife wet fairly regularly at work but I always dry it and use a CLP wipe at the end of the day. I've seen people "force" patina on these types of steel. ...

Re: Seki black blade K390 run?

Owners of K390 Seki knives, could you please advise on rust occurence on blade, depending on the enviroment? I'm living by the sea and all my knives are stainless by default; yesterday I was looking at Bohlers datasheet and wanted to try out one of the Seki versions, but would not want to have it ru...

I haven’t shopped at BladeHQ in a few years, in my opinion their is a lot better dealers out their.
Please elaborate.

I have the impression that they are one of the biggest knife shops in the US.

At least looking at their supply online.

Re: Spyderco UTILITY Knife...

Why do you buy folding utility knives?

I have the Stanley in the picture below for 12 years, and the sliding opening is very convenient.

Locks in open, locks in closed position.

Changed more than 50 inserts, but the housing itself is almost as good as new
