Slowest shift ever. Read this entire thread from page 1, figured I'd contribute :D https://i.postimg.cc/J4KFr8rY/20210411-221125-HDR.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/XYJzXPXj/20210411-221135-HDR.jpg Almost done with Pale Fire. Pretty neat book. D*mn you have a bigger paw than the bear from Revenant :D
****, im member here from 2014, and i forgot my pasword. Thanks to the guy/lady who helped me on Spyderco FB. So here is my absolute favorite edc spyderco, and edc knife ever. My para 3 lw in m390: Edit: how can i upload photos please ? 🤔 In full editor, click on attachments and then add a picture....
In a desperate attempt to push M390 into Golden exclusives (sprints?) that aren't right handed, I made a poll for anyone who would be interested. As Sal said on multiple occasions, he's watching the threads, and looking at potential numbers. I would prefer a Lil' Native BL in G10 version myself, but...
I would more likely assume that the CNC programmer made a mistake, but let's see what information will come from Spyderco. That's where my money is. Programming error. Cheaper to use the parts than to throw them in the scrap bin. Maybe they'll become rare Spyderco Collectible, like an off-center st...
A little advice for any lefties changing sides of the pocket clip on the Tern: DO NOT try to switch sides of screw and bolt on the back, nor extract the bolt part more than absolutely needed for the wire to slide in. Just had half hour of my life lost reassembling it. The spring is one piece and in ...
Hey, everyone: A comprehensive list of CQI changes would be an awesome thing. I think it's something that nearly everyone can contribute to. I'll put some thought into how to best compile the information. Kristi Excellent, thank you. If you could sticky this thread it would be great. Also, it would...
Hi Doc, No problem on my part. we needed a name, so I made one up. All of the things that I "hate" are political. I've found no reason to hate you. I guess when I talk to you about the "Leaf Jumper", I'll refer to it as the .................................? sal Haha! I don't know. It is a cool kni...
Added to my post above: The Salt also seems to have a longer blade than my Delica (see pic below) Granted, my Delica has been sharpened quite a bit, but still... https://i.postimg.cc/CKzpDWj7/20210401-152824.jpg According to spec, 3mm longer A higher blade is probably making it look even longer
I'm also very curious if this is a type of CQI and what the function of the cutout is. It's very close to the functioning area of the pivot and would have thought if it's a type of birthmark it would be further away from the pivot like on the Golden models. I would more likely assume that the CNC p...
The Rockjumper is a cool name. Leaf jumper? It sounds like a tree frog or something. How about Cliff Jumper, Mountain Climber, Mountain Jumper? None of those sound like a tree frog.
The instructor/teacher in the vid is you, Tom? I'm the guy standing in front of the white board or video screen talking and gesturing. Tom, I hope it is ok with you (and with pantagana23 who started this thread) if I share another vid of your base jump academy, since I think it is a really importan...
All of these threads should be requests for a new knife in an existing family rather that requests to make changes to an existing design. A new handle forward knife in the Native family? YES! Change the Native to be not-a-Native? NO!
I've been wondering for some time now what are the members professions, and do you fit Spyderco and other knives in it, or only during your free time. I am an automation engineer working primarily in marine industry, half office - half terrain work mostly. I started carrying Spydercos in my back poc...
Cut against different materials and you can get superior edge retention from the same knife. Avoid cutting on steel backing, concrete, etc. Wood or plastic is much easier on knife edges.
