Re: Robin 2 poking my eyes

I took the knife apart and cleaned it. Some observations: Liners seem from different material, or I don't know how to explain that one is shiny and clean, and the other one is already rusty on arrival (this is the right liner, with the pitting) See pic: https://i.imgur.com/nftNkeU_d.webp?maxwidth=64...

Re: "Your IP has been blocked because it is blacklisted"??

Got that the past few days, not only on this page.

If you're on the phone, like me, plane mode on, plane mode off, fixed.
You have automatic address assigned once you connect to network. If the one you're using gets blacklisted, simply reset as above

Re: Lil Native and Cat

I love my Cat and would like to see some more options, like colors of G10. The Lil Native Backlock really needs some upgrades in steel and color choices as the inferior ( ;) ) comp lock version gets. K390 with dark grey G10 would be a good start. And for LN in the reveal after K390, M390 with stain...

Robin 2 poking my eyes

So my latest acquiring was the Sharpmaker and I added a G10 Robin 2 as a bonus. At first glance, some minor unfinished details like leftovers in G10 drilled holes and sharp backlock uneven Boye detent, nothing that can't be fixed or lived with I then noticed that the right liner has some pitting nex...

Re: Sharpmaker Practice

Just got my Sharpmaker today. Thank you guys (and girls) for putting me up to this, as my knife count is now somewhere around 40-50 (don't really count anymore) and all I got for sharpening was a Fallkniven DC stone, which in combination with my lack of freehand sharpening skills managed to get all ...

Re: byrd lockbacks

My little dwarf just arrived. More than happy with QC considering the price, though the outer side of the lock (the side pressed on the blade when open) showed up dark. Hope it doesn't rust quickly. Switching of the clip to the other side not so easy as with Spyderco, though the screws come in with ...

Re: Best Spyderco for the $$

Just out of curiousity: The Delica is still cheaper than the Para 3 LW, has a pretty similar performing steel (at least going by Larrins last charts), so what makes the almost $ 100 Para 3 LW a generally better value than the $ 85ish Delica?!? - Other than totally subjective personal preference par...

Re: What was your 1st Spyderco?

Police SS maybe 10-15 years ago.
Saw it in a movie as a teenager, and my first reaction was - I NEED this. Immediately.
Bought it over ebay for 100 $ back when import from ebay sellers to my country was almost witchcraft.

Re: important knives in your collection?

Urban.

Man it's great. Invisible in the pocket, great retention, all the edge length you can get from a small knife, subtle FRN grip, non threatening in a company, single hand opening, slim, fidget friendly.

Only thing I could wish is more sturdy handles, as I know the FRN will not last for long

Just got one recently from Coutellerie Tourangelle for 77€, which is a very good price for Spyderco in Europe

Re: First Impressions of SPY27 Steel

Delica is related to Seki, so if they push production prices up (which is a yearly standard by 1-5% in my industry), so will Spyderco. Alright we'll keep this to US models. Have they ever lowered a price on anything American made just because "R&D has been paid off"? I think pushing people to buy i...

Re: First Impressions of SPY27 Steel

Has there ever been an instance when they've lowered a price on something? I mean, if we were to apply that same logic to other things... the Delica must have R&D expenses and mold expenses paid off by now, but the price keeps going up. I don't see the cost of SPY27 models getting lowered. Just wis...

Re: First Impressions of SPY27 Steel

Certainly we're seeing some of the R&D costs in the current pricing with the spy27 para3 lw at $140, compared to say, the rex45 version at $122.50. I'm definitely curious to see where the prices go from here. Hmm. When I heard Spyderco had Crucible make them some steel, I assumed they intended to m...

Is SPY27 going to replace S30V in Golden models?

From what I see, this could be a perspective replacement.

Hi, pantagana23:
We recently increased the size of the font (slightly). We received some feedback that the font size was getting a little difficult to read clearly. I hope this solves the mystery.

Kristi
Thanks for the info.

Cheers!

Mobile page zoomed in view?

Hello, As of today, when I logged into the forum, I see that all fonts are bigger, as if the page is zoomed in. As I'm not sure if I screwed up anything on my phone (didn't tamper with anything though and forum letters are the same from multiple viewers), did you guys change the forum settings or so...
