Re: Changing size comfort zone...

My blade length preferences are a rollercoaster. I go for periods where I prefer longer blades, then shorter blades, then back to longer blades, etc. I doubt this will ever change for me. One thing that I've discovered: when it comes to normal everyday cutting tasks, a small blade (Vic Classic, Lady...

Re: Native chief vs Endura?

I'm curious, as well. Love the Endura but am wondering how the Chief compares, especially if it's offered in SE :)

Re: SpyderEdge 2020 (A Personal "Challenge")

Allow me to dig up that SE challenge thread for a question : which SE blade would you recommend : the Endura 4 wharncliffe, the Native 5, any other blade ? I've read that some people preferred SE on an FFG blade over a sabre grind, what're your opinions ? I'll second Evil D's response in that FFG S...

Finished slicing a poorly-sliced pizza with the SE wharncliffe Endura :)

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

I don't have any action pics, but the Ladybug opened a bag of cat food and the Endura opened some mail and stirred my coffee. :) And now they’re in the hot tub together  Ah! A tale as old as time itself... We all know what happens when a Ladybug and an Endura get together... :D And that'...

Re: How to open the Pingo and Roadie one handed

I've also had success using this method in opening my Victorinox Camper.

So long as you can get a good grip on the blade and there's enough pommel, this is an excellent way to one hand open a two hand opening knife. Thanks for sharing! :)

Re: Serration Disappointment

If I would loose all of my Spydies and could get them once more, without any doubt the vast majority of them I´d take in SE now. ^^^ I'll second this ^^^ :) I really wish I had tried SE a long time ago as a primary EDC blade. One additional advantage of the chisel grind SE: Easier or let´s say quic...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I carried a Rebar for years and found it to actually be a tougher tool than the Super Tool 300. The pliers head is strong beyond its size, and those cutters are incredible. So the tools in it are extremely capable. That Surge is a beast!! The Surge really is a beast! It's seeing alot of use lately ...

Re: Serration Disappointment

Is your only/primary issue with Spyderco's serrations that they are chisel ground on the show/left side? Chisel grinds will never cut straight on their own. It's become second nature for me to hold SE blades at the correct angle to cut straight, but I know there are many people who find it difficult...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Really cool, your "blade-swapped" Endura! And the Surge is a great multitool, though I myself am more of a Rebar- (or for a small one Juice CS4 (old version!)-) guy, but just for the lighter weight. Thanks Wartstein :) . I'm really liking the FFG SE. It definitely makes a difference in slicing perf...
