Re: You got your Ceramic Mule. How you gonna sharpen it?
I sharpened mine last night using Venev 800 and 1200 grit stones and stropped 1 and .25 micron cbn on basswood . I spent about 15-20 mins matching the factory angle and while not nearly as sharp as I can get steel, it's much better than it was out of the box. It now bites into my fingernail, cleanly...

Re: Corrosion Reports
Saw this through the scales on my MagnaCut Mule... https://i.imgur.com/hgOW57I.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ojId8oX.jpg I thought it was interesting that the scale hardware didn't have any rust on it. I did a quick rub down with ISO and got the bulk off but it will take a little more effort to remove the...

Re: Spyderco Watu is the answer to my quest
The Watu is the only disco'd knife I bought this time around because it's just too good not to have an extra if something happens to my other one. I like it so much that I don't even keep it as a backup it went right into rotation with my wood scaled one. I keep one with a polished edge and one with...

Sadly I missed Kahr Arms Delica at the time... Would love Jandura, but there is no way I can get one in Europe. https://i.imgur.com/64BYTLV.png 5x5 Combat Solutions has the Jandura in stock and I think they ship to Europe. https://5x5combatsolutions.com/shop/ols/products/michael-janich-custom-jandura

Re: Community Sharpening Journal
Spent a couple hours working on thinning out this Delica. I need to flatten the stone and probably give it another hour or two to get it where I want.

I like this piece of basswood I bought at a local craft store. I've rounded the the edges slightly and use them for serrated blades.

Re: High Performance Delica Excitement
Hi Sethwm, We'll know when we get them in. Yes, I am impatiently waiting s well. I think I'll try to profile to 10 DPS on the Galley V. While not for everyone (We have to pay attention to the genera market and not just the Afi's and edge junky's here), A thin edge and "after-edge" is very...

Re: Urban pocket carry
I don't know how well it shows in photos but the reason I like the K390's blade better (steel aside) is not the length as much as the lower tip. The shorter Urbans especially the HH version tend to slip off what I'm cutting due to height of the tip and smaller belly. https://i.imgur.com/91NaIPK.jpg ...

KSF has adjusted some of its on sale prices including those two Chaparrals and the SpyOpera Sprint which I purchased from them this morning for $284.20 shipped and now it’s $345.10. If anyone is still considering the SpyOpera Sprint Indiana Knives still has it for $284 with free shipping and no tax...

This is the guy known for dual grit sharpening. Sal reached out to him and sent him "a box of knives" to test.

Re: Experience with Spyderco's CBN benchstone?
I have never been able to get a straight answer on whether CBN or diamond is best for hard tool steels. I currently work with diamond, but would be willing to change if CBN is king. Ant help? They are both hard enough to cut the carbides in any blade steel. CBN tends to have a more uniform structur...
