Re: Convex SE

I've been running my SE blades thinner for the last few months. Some with multiple bevels (really just knocking the shoulder down a bit) and others I try keep even throughout the bevel. I find both methods work well to increase cutting performance and reducing steer. https://i.imgur.com/mAYDvYQ.jpg ...

Is this what you're looking for?

Just got a new phone and hadn't set up imgur yet.
FWIW I find imgur easier to use on my phone just going to the site and using the web interface.

Re: Benshot Lil Native Rocks glass

I don't really drink enough to really use something like this but dang if I don't keep coming back to check it out. This is such a cool product. You don't have to put alcoholic beverages in it. It's a glass and you can fill it with whatever you want. Also a pretty cool conversation piece. I'm enjoy...

Might be a few tiny spots of rust near the pivot but nothing I'd worry about. Should buff out easily.

Re: Sunsets

Wow! Looks so chill and peaceful, I wouldn't have guessed you were in the US. I've never been to the Keys but now I see why my wife says I would love it. Back to sunsets...We didn't get a good one last night but I found a few more oldies. https://i.imgur.com/9a3aT1t.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Es5DZh9.j...

Re: 3d printing

I have access to my wife's Formlabs SLA printer here at the house but my CAD skills are almost nonexistent so the only thing I've printed has been an adapter to reroute the primers on my reloading press from the small built in catch tray down a tube into a liter bottle under my desk that someone sha...

Re: Sunsets

Thanks M Sea! I've been loving your pics the last few months. If you don't mind me asking, what part of the world is Margaritaville in? I need to add it to my "where to live when I retire list". :)

Winter is prime sunset season here but I've been lazy this year so here's a few oldies for now...looks like we might get a good one tonight so I may be back in a few. :)

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

Finally got a little chip in my Rex 45 Native. Went through a stack of boxes easier than anticipated and smacked into the concrete driveway pretty hard. https://i.imgur.com/e3mTBhg.jpg I gave it a quick touch up on a 150 grit Venev diamond stone and it's good enough for now. Overall I'm really enjoy...

https://i.imgur.com/KWPv5oX.jpg Nice scales and clip Larry! I have that clip too, love that color to offset the usual black or silver. How are those scales? They look a little slick. Thank you Rick! Love the scales so far and I do like the smoother textures. They are smooth but the little brass wir...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Thanks guys!

Yeah I went thinner than I planned trying to even out the bevel but I'm glad I did the edge retention is insane and no problems with chipping or rolling. I'm guessing it's sub 10dps...definitely thinnest I've ever gone.

Re: Vanadis 8 - Better than CPM-10V

Thanks for that great info! So, you deny that you are working on your own powdered steel? Will there be no CPM Larrinibium? Regarding YouTube, maybe start by going on others you tube channels as a guest and then start your own later? Nick Shabaz recommended your book, perhaps he would be a good one...
