Re: Taking apart knives - part 2

I don't recall any laminated clones. But this one looks as if the lockbar's "tooth" chipped away - look at the general shape of the protrusion that catches onto the blade. The working one is basically a rectangle while the KC one is a trapezoid. Are there any signs of a fracture? Thanks f...

Re: Taking apart knives - part 2

Hello everyone, I don't come here unless there is an issue I cannot solve myself. A friend's knifecenter delica couldn't engage the back lock successfully, and so I took it apart and compared with mine... now separately, I realised knifecenter's exclusive delica is also missing Sal's insignia. So di...

Very tough for international fans, trying to get in. The time difference never on our side in Asia.

Re: Why did you join?

I have my first folder besides SAKs in the 90s as a teenager and it was the spyderco C04 executive /(clipette) as identified by SAL when I posted it here. I was not a serious collector of knives, let alone spydercos, until something rekindled it in 2018? And I'm hooked now and have lots of lots of s...

Re: para 3 - lanyard tube and aftermarket replacements?

I also tried using my vise to get the original flared lanyard tube from my para 3 s45vn to go into new titanium scales, with success and I see bite marks now even with cloth over the vise. What is my next option ? Get the lanyard removal tool by sharp dressed knives and lanyard tube from flytanium?

Re: Spyderco Kitchen Classics

I wonder if Spyderco actually has plans for a folding chef knife for 'adventure chefs' that travel and cook on the go? I was really tempted to find out how well the MM ones are but being an edc spyderco fan, I wish spyderco made ones that are lc200n steel instead

Re: Q

Hello everyone, For the first time I decided to take apart my Q 35SBK PRCA that I got new since the 90's. And thanks to all the infomation here and various site, I realised that I don't find bushings (or washers) in my Q. Is that normal ? I don't think I can find videos of Q being taken apart, so I...

Re: Vanax PM2 Lets Do This!!!

Salt Native 5. There’s the lc200N which I’m very happy and is my first native before I went on a native steel-collecting and since it can be FRN, would be cheaper than PM2 and of course, American made.

Sounds good to me. After the mule of course.
