A skilled user could probably do a great deal of damage "just" using an unopened trainer as a kubaton alone. Anything hard can inflict serious injury. I wouldn't want to get hit with an unscalloped bezel on a Surefire flashlight.

I wonder if it would be possible to have a removable hood that would not leave sharp corners on the back of the blade when removed. It would add more production cost than just leaving it off, but I think the hood on my Ti Salsa is cool.

As for protection, it is a very weak coating when thin, over time, when formed naturally it will make a very thick black scale that is very resistant to being penetrated by the orange rust - but again this is very different than jamming a blade into heated acids. I don't have any SB yet, but I will probably get an SB Stretch. Does working on getting a patina all over the blade protect it from more serious 'rust pitting' later, or is it mainly for the visual look? Thanks!

I used to carry a Dragonfly (not 2) in my watch pocket without using the clip. It is the only Spydie I have ever lost. I would recommend using the clip (even though it would be more discreet without), unless you are very attentive.

Waved VG-10 sabre-grind Delica. I wish there were more sabre-grinds, but I understand the increased efficiency of the FFG.

There is a place for both, but my favorite EDC is the sabre-grind waved Delica. I would love to see all of the 'new' colors in the sabre-ground Delicas and Enduras, including the USN 'toxic green' in a non-black Delica and Endura blade.

My waved Delica is the one that is usually in my pocket, even though I have several to rotate with. I wish that they would start using the brighter colors on sabre-grind Delicas and Enduras. I would love a purple or light blue non-FFG Endura.
