Re: Buying my first PM2: S30V or S110V?

I would seriously consider the M390 and K390 options still available at Bento Box Shop. i would agree with that seeing as how i love m390. it takes slighty longer to sharpen than s30v but holds an edge longer and just as stainless. i do like k390 as well but it is a tool steel and has to be maintai...

Re: How important is scale color?

color is extremely important to me. more so than the steel it comes with. i can explain, i would rather have a bunch of colored scales to a knife with s30v as i am very content with it, even tho i love m390 more. i have said many times if all the knives they sold were like the delica where you could...

Re: Knife Handles: The Importance and Safety Thereof

That is a good point. I guess honestly I have always chosen knives I felt were safe but now that I look back, quite a few of the knives i owned were not very safe as far as a safety standpoint. I am sorry you had to remember the hard way. I probably will again too. That honestly is why I stay with s...

Re: Nice to meet you, and can we have this as a Spyderco knife?

Hi David Mary, Welcome to tour forum. Regarding designs for Spyderco, best if you deal with us rather than deal publicly. Once design is in public domain, it's very difficult for us to work with it. sal so if i have a knife set designed, big med lil, i should send it directly to spyderco to see if ...

Re: What was your 1st Spyderco?

a delica 3 back in 2000. then a delica 4 in 2012 started my spyderco craze. Wow! Did not know you have SUCH long experience with Spydercos... (a lot longer than I do)! :) i have been collecting knives since around 96, with swiss and buck and cheapo knives. did not actually get into spending real mo...

Re: Unpopular opinions

i can use it with my fingers on the ricasso but other knives and manufactures are the same with wasted space between my finger and where the edge starts. and your right it works but not so comfortable as if it was made to use a finger on. its all good Gernot. i like talking with you and respectfully...

Re: Unpopular opinions

i guess i will put in my unpopular opinion 1. I extremely dislike back locks of all kinds and shape. yes i have seen the vids, no i do not want to talk about it anymore, i have reasons and its just my opinion. 2. I like choils for the simple reason i can get up to the blade instead of 1/2 wasted spa...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

i normally use the first or third but prefer the second. i just havent found a knife with the right distance to the hole and lock for my hand size to be comfortable. i can use all those methods. i do still like my blade to swing freely.
i think a dragonfly might work but i still wouldnt like the lock.

Re: Spyderco 2020 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

I just noticed we lost the lil native slipit. Are they not making it or were they never making it. I know me and doc were looking forward to it. Any info would be appreciated thank you. All the Lil’ Native folders were announced by Eric at Blade Show in early June 2017 (3 years ago). These were Com...

Re: How to turn a Delica into a $350+ knife.

I think that knife looks amazingly nice. I can tell you and gernot both like hap40, I actually bought a rex 45 lil native to try out the steel and it's the us version of hap40. I am trying it based on gernot raving about how much he likes its and thinks its swell, lol. I know its a tool steel but ho...
