Re: About grounding/earthing

Placebo effect is very real. Grounding or earthing yourself literally has no effect on the human body. What likely may happen however is you will get electrocuted during a lightning storm if you did the grounding "correctly". I'm sorry, but it's pure pseudo science and has no real world be...

Re: For firearm guys/girls...

Me, too. I like outdoor shooting. Right now my go-to locations are well over 100 degrees. I have two young guys who want to go out, one recently finished building an AR, and the other is picking up his new HK next week. Either they'll have to commit to getting up REALLY early, or we'll have to wait...

Re: For firearm guys/girls...

If it adds to your enjoyment, then it’s the right thing to do! More shooting would increase my enjoyment, for sure! I have an outdoor range close to me, just haven't decided to buy a membership yet. Plus, with the south being the south, and it being summer time, I prefer going to an indoor range wi...

Re: For firearm guys/girls...

I think the recording of every shot comes from two worlds. The sniper needs log each shot to know how the rifle will perform under every condition. The rifle competitor needs to know how many shots each barrel has through it so they know when to replace the barrel and maintain peak accuracy. Pistol...

Re: For firearm guys/girls...

Yeah, I do up until I forget lol..... Most every rifle listed on Snipers Hide will have a round count listed. Some probably true, some probably not. Imo, it's your gun, do whatever ya want. Glad you made this thread, for whatever reason, it reminded me that I need to clean my 1944 M1 & I've no ...

Re: For firearm guys/girls...

Nope. Counting rounds is a newfangled fad. Back when I starting shooting, before many here were even born, when we really USED our guns for chores like putting dinosaur meat on the table and protecting ourselves from roaming Australopithecus hordes, you'd be laughed right out of the cave if you eve...

For firearm guys/girls...

Saw a post on another forum and I figured I'd ask here. How many of you keep round counts on your firearms? I do. I have a list on my phone, and when I'm shooting I will enter the rounds into the list so I know at a glance how many rounds have gone through a weapon, and i also enter any parts breaka...

I waited 11 weeks for this beauty. Stealth Arms Platypus! Custom double stack 1911 that takes glock 17 mags. All I can say is it was worth the wait! Beautifully made, smooth, amazing trigger. They told me it comes from the PLANET EARTH because we've got the best steel in whole SOLAR SYSTEM! WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Re: Knife & Gun Thread

https://i.imgur.com/7YpIgSu.jpeg Had to finally add some knives. Got a BPS Savage, great for $35! And a vintage M Klein linemans cleaver. I'm working on the edge. She thick! And being handmade, it's not a perfectly straight or equal thickness anywhere. Also, Beretta APX A1 and Sig M18. The Beretta ...

Re: Knife & Gun Thread

@soc_monki, that PDP slide and serrations looks like it belongs in some kind of industrial machined application, beefy!! She is beefy! But surprisingly light weight, if you can believe it. It's like magic, I don't know how they did it. And those serrations, no lack of grip. Love them. My Beretta is...

Re: Knife & Gun Thread

My friend has a Ruger 1911 in 10mm. I'm pretty sure he is in love with that thing. Ruger makes a solid 1911, IMO. While it lacks the panache of the higher tier brands, it does just keep working. Ruger makes some fine firearms. Wish I had my brother's p89, but he gave it to our oldest brother lol st...

Re: Knife & Gun Thread

Update on PDP. Got my promotional red dot in! Seems to be decent. I think my Holosun 507k is a little higher quality, but this Ameriglo should do just fine. I'm used to the smaller 507k, this thing is huge! Should be great fun to use. Can't complain! It was the promotion that pushed me to get a PDP,...

Re: Knife & Gun Thread

Thank you for the much detailed reply! I’ve read many times from many different places that the PDP and Steyr pistols have fantastic triggers straight out of the box for a striker gun, also our VP9, it has a great trigger! Never fired a Canik before. One thing you’re right about….couple of weeks ba...

Re: Knife & Gun Thread

How do you like your PDP? I’m thinking of buying my daughter a 4” PDP-F Female specific Walther. It’s between it and a 43X, everything on paper points to the PDP-F, of course we’ll rent both and do a side by side comparison first. She shoots my G26 really good, it’s her favorite of all the pistols ...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Give us a range report as soon as you shoot it, really want to hear your impressions on that straight trigger. Thinking about picking out one of my HK's and adding a flat trigger and short reset kit to it. Versus the standard curved trigger, the straight trigger is much more consistent in feel and ...

https://i.imgur.com/39Z0kyp.jpeg Sig P320 X Carry, Sportsman's Warehouse exclusive! I love my M18 so much, I wanted something similar yet different. Saw they had this, and went for it. I actually think I might like the X series grip better than the Wilson Combat I put on the M18. Haven't shot her y...
