Re: Byrd Clips
Tried putting an endura clip on a byrd hawkbill. The holes seemed to line up right but the byrd clip screws wouldn't fit through the endura's clip holes

Re: Byrd Hawkbill
Just received a Byrd hawkbill and everything about it is great except for one thing - the point stops on the plastic back ever so slightly. The point appears to rest maybe a hair’s breadth above the back (I actually can’t tell if it’s touching or not) but it definitely makes contact upon closing the...

Re: The Wire Clip: express your love, hate, indifference
Wow, 75% of pollers (166 votes cast!) prefer the wire clip or wish there were more models with it. And it really is a rather unique clip. The only other I've seen with a wire clip is Fox Knives. Maybe a Gerber too. Why doesn't Spyderco do more wire clips?

Sharpmaker for beginner or hold out for Gauntlet?
Currently I'm using two bellied out stones to sharpen kitchen knives and a couple folders (rather poorly I might add). Should I hold out for a Gauntlet or get the cheaper and currently available Sharpmaker? As best I can tell the advantage of the Gauntlet is the rods for easily re-profiling an edge....

Re: Well done Eric!
As someone who likes the practicality of having several tools in the pocket but wants a good looking knife and a subtle carry, I did not find many options out there beside the Clipitool standard.

Re: Well done Eric!
Thanks for the reviews. These look like great and super useful designs. Unfortunately they're another one to to file under that list, when perusing the catalogue every year: 'nice knife, probably would've bought one, but they're designed for right handers only.' So, my question for those who have o...

Re: Clip replacement question...
Based on their website it looks like MXG is out of town for the next month. You could get a custom clip made by Pops Custom Clips on etsy. He doesn't have anything for the clipitool which I guess is a similar clip to the mcbee

With which models do the Clipitool Standard and Rescue share the same clip?
I'm looking at aftermarket clips and learned there are several different hourglass clip types. The Clipitools being so new don't appear in compatibility lists so I'm wondering which more common spyderco models share the same size clip?
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks Sal!
And I love your wire clips, they've completely changed how I feel about pocket clips

Re: Aftermarket wire clip to replace hourglass?
I did find this post from 2013 where Senorsquare uses a techno clip beneath the tri-screws.

Aftermarket wire clip to replace hourglass?
I'm looking forward to the Lil Native Slip Joint that seems will come eventually but realized the prototype is an hourglass clip which I really don't like. Are there any aftermarket wire clip replacements that use the same configuration as the hourglass clip?
