In both my Spyderco 2017 and 2018 Catalog i find the HO1 Szabohawk not a Genzow hawk i.
When did you buy your Axe and what was it's price?

Sjucaveman What i see in the Spyderco 2018 catalog the Axe is using D2 for it's blade steel.

I see the Spyderco Warrior Hawk has a blade made from D2 steel and sells for $312 at one on line site, i don't have anything against D2 steel but for that high price i would want 5160 as the blade steel. I am using this new Spyderco Bench Stone ultra fine grit on a SOG Tactical Tomahawk with blade steel 420 RC 51-53 Per. SOG, blade came very sharp and stayed sharp after a lot of hard chopping of a really tough old log, i used the Spyderco Bench Stone to just tune up the blade and feel it improved it.

Ultra is a layman term i was just giving the real size of the material used in the stone.

Thank you for this Info. being very new to Spyderco knives i had no idea when they first got into Autos, i own a few Microtechs and my Microtech LUDT is near to my Autonomy2 but i like the action of the Autonomy2 better then my Microtech LUDT.

Just asking if the Spyderco Autonomy2 was their first at making a side opening Automatic knife.

I feel it's big mistake it just reduces the forum members from viewing the subjects, there knives being assisted opening or gravity or just spring loaded automatic there really just knives.
