Re: Knives that changed your minds - ?
1: Ergonomics are (not) everything. Before the Smock, if the ergos weren't perfect on a knife for me, I wouldn't every consider it. But the Smock so sold me on unique design and fantastic innovation. The button comp lock, corner flipper tab, and ball bearings totally pushed that knife over the edge ...

Re: Are you a collector?
I'm definitely a collector, but I also use my knives, everything has been carried repeatedly. I've got well over 50 knives, about half are Spyderco, with a few ZTs, BMs, WE, and Bucks making up most of the rest. (I live really close to the Buck factory).

Re: Removing rust from DLC M4?
Not sure what I'm seeing there but have to ask, how can dlc rust and the bare edge be clean? It's been in the upper 90s to low 100s, and it's a fairly humid region here. I work outside, so it's probably from sweat, and the spots are on the portion of the blade that sits above the grip area, on the ...

Removing rust from DLC M4?
My DLC M4 Millie is showing some light pitting after a couple of hours out in the humid weather... How do you guys pull out that rust without removing the coating? I normally keep it coated in Marine Tuffglide, but rushed out of the house this morning without an application.

Re: Favorite vendor
In definitive order: DLT is absolutely first choice every time for me. They have world class customer service, the fastest shipping time I've ever seen, and a great rewards point system. They also get new product on the site wicked fast. DLT also gets really good exclusives across many brands, inclu...

Re: Anyone else got the shakes??
I managed to hold it together by finally picking up a Smock (I see what all the hype has been about, it's a fun knife). I also have managed to pick up the ZT 0801ti Sprint in m390 with the blue ano handle. And just over the last 3 weeks I've also added the BM Bailout, the Ikuchi, and the DLC M4/Jade...

Looks to be available at Knife Center now. ***Nvm*** order status changed to pre-order, so I cancelled.

Ikuchi back to pre-order at KnifeCenter *update*
Looks like the Ikuchi is in stock, (and not on Pre-Order) at KnifeCenter right now. The site says it will be shipping tomorrow. I just grabbed one, so hopefully it's legit.
***Update***
The order status was changed back to pre-order, so I cancelled it.

Re: What is this on the new Spydiechef lock bar?
Just got mine, I'm loving it. The lock stick was pretty bad for the first 100 or so deployments, but has since gone away completely, however, I have also noticed an extremely concerning thing, the titanium seems to be rubbing off onto the tang in large quantities. The lock bar was not always engagin...

Re: Dear Sal: Roc Salt?
Hi Sal, thanks for the reply, I'm a long time lurker of the forum, and mostly wanted to just get the idea out there. I understand that Seki isn't necessarily equipped for the job, I'd be totally cool with a Roc2 or a new cleaver shaped blade design in LC200N. I'm actually fully onboard for a new des...

Dear Sal: Roc Salt?
I posted this in the Spyderco FB group, but I thought it might be worth mentioning here, if only to get Sal's attention... I would love to see a Roc Sprint Run in LC200N with titanium scales. Maybe a kind of a step sibling of the Spydiechef? It would be nice to have a line of folding kitchen knives,...
